في محاولة بدت وكأنها رد مباشر على الشائعات المتصاعدة حول عزلته واختبائه داخل مخابئ محصنة، نشر «الكرملين» مقطع فيديو للرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين خلال جولة ليلية في موسكو، ظهر فيها وهو يقود سيارته بنفسه ويلتقي معلمته السابقة في مشهد غير معتاد أثار تفاعلاً واسعاً.
وكانت وسائل إعلام غربية قد نقلت عن تقرير استخباراتي أوروبي مزاعم تفيد بأن بوتين شدد إجراءاته الأمنية بشكل غير مسبوق، وقضى أسابيع يدير الحرب في أوكرانيا من منشآت تحت الأرض خشية التعرض لمحاولة اغتيال أو انقلاب، وهي التقارير التي نفى «الكرملين» صحتها ووصفها بأنها «محض هراء».
وجاء نشر الفيديو بعد أيام من ظهور بوتين في احتفالات التاسع من مايو بالساحة الحمراء، وهي احتفالات تحيي ذكرى الانتصار على ألمانيا النازية في الحرب العالمية الثانية، وفق ما أوردته وكالة «رويترز».
وأظهر المقطع بوتين وهو يقود سيارة دفع رباعي روسية الصنع في وسط موسكو برفقة أحد عناصر الأمن، قبل أن يتوقف أمام أحد الفنادق حاملاً باقة من الزهور للقاء معلمته السابقة فيرا جوريفيتش.
وظهر الرئيس الروسي، البالغ من العمر 73 عاماً، بملابس غير رسمية تضمنت بنطال جينز وسترة خفيفة، بينما بدا في أجواء ودية وهو يعانق معلمته ويتبادل معها الحديث.
كما وثّق الفيديو لحظات تحدث فيها بوتين مع أحد المارة داخل الفندق، قبل أن يساعد معلمته على ركوب السيارة ويصطحبها إلى مأدبة عشاء داخل «الكرملين».
وأوضح «الكرملين» أن بوتين وجّه دعوة لمعلمة طفولته لحضور العرض العسكري السنوي في الساحة الحمراء، إضافة إلى قضاء عدة أيام في موسكو ضمن برنامج ثقافي خاص.

Western media had reported claims from a European intelligence report suggesting that Putin had tightened his security measures unprecedentedly and spent weeks managing the war in Ukraine from underground facilities out of fear of assassination attempts or coups, claims that the "Kremlin" denied and described as "sheer nonsense."
The video was released days after Putin appeared at the May 9 celebrations in Red Square, which commemorate the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, according to "Reuters."
The clip showed Putin driving a Russian-made SUV in the center of Moscow accompanied by a security detail, before stopping in front of a hotel carrying a bouquet of flowers to meet his former teacher Vera Gorevich.
The 73-year-old Russian president appeared in casual clothing that included jeans and a light jacket, while he seemed to be in a friendly atmosphere as he hugged his teacher and exchanged conversation with her.
The video also documented moments when Putin spoke with a passerby inside the hotel, before helping his teacher into the car and taking her to a dinner at the "Kremlin."
The "Kremlin" explained that Putin had invited his childhood teacher to attend the annual military parade in Red Square, in addition to spending several days in Moscow as part of a special cultural program.
