أعلن المتحدث باسم الجيش الإسرائيلي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، اعتراض الدفاعات الجوية صواريخ أُطقلت من الأراضي الإيرانية، مؤكداً أن أنظمة الدفاع الجوي تعمل حالياً على اعتراض التهديد.
وأفادت القناة 15 الإسرائيلية بأن إيران أطلقت أكثر من 20 صاروخاً باتجاه إسرائيل، في حين سُمع دوي انفجارات قوية في شمال ووسط البلاد، تزامناً مع انفجارات عنيفة هزّت القدس والضفة الغربية دون إنذارات مسبقة.
ودوّت صفارات الإنذار، مساء الثلاثاء، في شمال إسرائيل، عقب رصد إطلاق إيران صواريخ نحوها، حسبما أفاد الجيش الإسرائيلي.
وذكرت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية أنه تم رصد إطلاق صواريخ فردية من إيران، ولم تصل أي بلاغات عن سقوط صواريخ أو إصابات.
بدورها، قالت القناة 7 العبرية إن حريقاً اندلع في منطقة مفتوحة في منطقة الجليل نتيجة القصف الصاروخي الأخير من إيران الموجه إلى المنطقة الشمالية. مضيفة أن 3 طواقم إطفاء تعمل على السيطرة على النيران.
فيما قال التلفزيون الإيراني إن «هناك مفاجأة الليلة سيتذكرها العالم قروناً عديدة».
وأفادت وسائل إعلام إيرانية، نقلاً عن الحرس الثوري الإيراني، بإعلانه استهداف قواعد جوية إسرائيلية في هجمات جديدة.
The spokesperson for the Israeli army announced today (Wednesday) that air defenses intercepted missiles launched from Iranian territory, confirming that the air defense systems are currently working to intercept the threat.
Israeli Channel 15 reported that Iran launched more than 20 missiles towards Israel, while loud explosions were heard in the north and center of the country, coinciding with violent blasts that shook Jerusalem and the West Bank without prior warnings.
Sirens sounded on Tuesday evening in northern Israel after the Israeli army detected missile launches from Iran.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that individual missiles were detected being launched from Iran, and no reports of missile impacts or injuries have been received.
For its part, Channel 7 reported that a fire broke out in an open area in the Galilee region as a result of the recent missile bombardment from Iran directed at the northern area. It added that three firefighting crews are working to control the flames.
Meanwhile, Iranian television stated that "there is a surprise tonight that the world will remember for many centuries."
Iranian media reported, citing the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, that it announced targeting Israeli air bases in new attacks.
