The "Okaz" newspaper learned that the relevant authorities have approved new amendments to the traffic system, which stipulate the expulsion of non-Saudi individuals from the Kingdom, prohibiting their re-entry, in the event of a final judicial ruling convicting them of committing traffic violations that endanger public safety.

This procedure will be implemented according to regulations coordinated by the Ministry of Interior with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Public Prosecution.

The amendments also included tightening penalties for violations that endanger public safety. Additionally, it stated that if an individual commits a violation for the second time within a year from the date of the first violation, the maximum fine will be imposed, while the violator will be referred to the competent court in case of repeating the violation for the third time within the same year, to consider applying a prison sentence not exceeding one year, unless the court decides to double the fine imposed for the violation on the second occasion.

The regulation specifies the violations that endanger public safety and the procedures for referring the violator to court.
