في رابع أيام جلسات محاكمة قاتل المبتعث السعودي الطالب محمد القاسم، عرضت محكمة التاج البريطانية في كامبريدج أدلة مرئية حاسمة توثق لحظة مقتل الطالب السعودي محمد القاسم، نافية ادعاءات المتهم بالدفاع عن النفس، ومؤكدة عدم وجود سابق معرفة بينهما.
وشهدت الجلسة الثانية للمحاكمة عرضاً دقيقاً لتسجيلات كاميرات المراقبة التي وثقت تفاصيل الجريمة، راصدة تحركات الجاني والمجني عليه قبل وأثناء وبعد الحادثة.
دحض مزاعم المتهم
ودحضت الأدلة المرئية التي قدمها الادعاء العام بشكل قاطع مزاعم المتهم بأنه كان في حالة دفاع عن النفس، حيث أظهرت التسجيلات عدم وجود أي تواصل مسبق أو مشاجرة بين الطرفين.
وكشفت المقاطع المصورة عن تواجد المتهم داخل إحدى الحانات وهو في حالة غير طبيعية تحت تأثير المسكرات والمخدرات، وكان يحمل سكيناً في جيبه استخدمها في تنفيذ جريمته.
ووجه الجاني طعنة عنيفة جداً ومباغتة في رقبة الضحية، الذي حاول النجاة بالركض بعيداً فور إصابته، إلا أنه سقط مغشياً عليه وفارق الحياة متأثراً بجراحه البليغة.
وأكدت كاميرات المراقبة أن القاتل لم يتراجع بعد الطعن، بل ركض باتجاه الضحية بنية الإيذاء المتعمد، وهو ما ينسف الرواية التي حاول الدفاع التمسك بها لتبرير فعلته.
تطابق شهادات الشهود
تطابقت شهادات شهود العيان أمام هيئة المحلفين تماماً مع ما وثقته الكاميرات، مؤكدة السلوك العدواني والشرس للمتهم الذي حاول الاعتداء على أشخاص آخرين في نفس اليوم.
وكان الطالب السعودي محمد القاسم «20 عاماً» تعرض للطعن ما أدى إلى مقتله في مدينة كامبريدج البريطانية قبل 6 أشهر حيث كان يقضي فترة تدريبية لمدة عشرة أسابيع في معهد للغات.
ووجهت الشرطة تهمتي القتل وحيازة سكين في مكان عام للقاتل، وألقت القبض على رجل يبلغ من العمر 50 عاما، للاشتباه في مساعدته للمجرم.

The visual evidence presented by the prosecution categorically refuted the defendant's claims that he was acting in self-defense, as the recordings showed no prior communication or altercation between the two parties.
The footage revealed the defendant inside a bar in an abnormal state under the influence of alcohol and drugs, carrying a knife in his pocket which he used to commit his crime.
The perpetrator delivered a very violent and sudden stab to the victim's neck, who attempted to escape by running away immediately after being injured, but collapsed unconscious and died from his severe wounds.
Surveillance cameras confirmed that the killer did not retreat after the stabbing; instead, he ran towards the victim with the intent to cause deliberate harm, which undermines the narrative that the defense tried to cling to in justifying his actions.
Consistency of Witness Testimonies
The testimonies of eyewitnesses before the jury completely matched what was documented by the cameras, confirming the aggressive and fierce behavior of the defendant, who attempted to assault other individuals on the same day.
Saudi student Mohammed Al-Qasim, aged 20, was stabbed, leading to his death in the British city of Cambridge six months ago while he was on a ten-week internship at a language institute.
The police charged the killer with murder and possession of a knife in a public place, and arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of assisting the criminal.
