برعاية مستشار خادم الحرمين الشريفين أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة الأمير خالد بن فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، انطلقت، أمس (الثلاثاء)، أعمال المؤتمر الأول للابتكار وريادة الأعمال تحت شعار «فكرة واختراع وأثر»، بمشاركة واسعة من وزارة الصحة، ووزارة الصناعة والثروة المعدنية، ووزارة النقل والخدمات اللوجستية، وبرنامج تطوير الصناعة الوطنية والخدمات اللوجستية، إلى جانب عددٍ من الجهات الحكومية والخاصة ذات العلاقة.
ويهدف المؤتمر، الذي تستضيفه جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز، لتعزيز دور المؤسسات الأكاديمية بصفتها رافداً رئيسياً للتنمية الاقتصادية، من خلال تمكين منظومة الابتكار وريادة الأعمال داخل الجامعات السعودية، وتهيئة بيئة محفّزة للبحث والتطوير، واستثمار العقول الوطنية في بناء اقتصاد معرفي مستدام، مستهدفاً الأكاديميين والمتخصصين والباحثين والطلبة، إلى جانب صُنّاع القرار والمسؤولين الحكوميين المهتمين بمجالي الابتكار وريادة الأعمال.
ويناقش المشاركون في المؤتمر سبل دعم ريادة الأعمال وتعزيز الاستثمار الوطني والأجنبي في الشركات الابتكارية، بما يسهم في تمكين الجامعات من أداء وظائفها بفاعلية وكفاءة عالية في خدمة الوطن والمجتمع، مؤكدين أن الابتكار مسؤولية مشتركة تتطلب تكاتف الجهود وتكاملاً بين مختلف القطاعات؛ لتحقيق مستهدفات الرؤية الطموحة.
واستُهل المؤتمر بالندوة الرئيسة، التي حملت عنوان: «دور القطاعات الحكومية في تعزيز البحث والتطوير والابتكار لتحقيق مستهدفات رؤية 2030»، وأدارها رئيس جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز الدكتور طريف يوسف الأعمى. وتناولت الندوة تكامل الجهود الحكومية والأكاديمية في بناء منظومة وطنية مستدامة للبحث والتطوير، وتفعيل الشراكات بين الجامعات والقطاعين العام والخاص لتحويل الأفكار إلى مشاريع ذات أثر اقتصادي واجتماعي ملموس، إضافة إلى استعراض مبادرات نوعية تسهم في تمكين المبتكرين ورواد الأعمال السعوديين.
13 ورشة تدريب و81 متحدثاً وباحثاً
يقام على هامش المؤتمر، الذي يستمر يومين، أكثر من 13 ورشة عمل تدريبية متخصصة تتناول أحدث الممارسات في مجالات الابتكار وريادة الأعمال، إلى جانب 3 جلسات علمية تناقش أبحاثاً نوعية في مسارات الاقتصاد المعرفي، و 16 جلسة حوارية تجمع نخبة من القيادات والخبراء المحليين والدوليين، كما يشهد المؤتمر 3 ندوات رئيسة يشارك فيها أكثر من 81 متحدثاً وباحثاً، يقدمون 12 ورقة علمية، و65 مستخلصاً للنشر الأكاديمي.
كما يتضمن البرنامج 56 ملصقاً علمياً، و12 عرضاً تقدمياً يجسد مستوى التفاعل البحثي بين الجامعات السعودية، إلى جانب 41 ابتكاراً، و12 مشاركة بحثية علمية تمثّل خلاصة جهود أكاديمية ومشروعات ريادية ناشئة، كما يشارك في المؤتمر 11 شركة وطنية، و20 جامعة سعودية، و3 مراكز بحثية، إلى جانب 5 جهات أخرى من القطاعين الحكومي والخاص.
Under the patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Emir of the Makkah Region, Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the first conference on innovation and entrepreneurship kicked off yesterday (Tuesday) under the slogan "Idea, Invention, and Impact," with wide participation from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, and the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program, alongside several relevant governmental and private entities.
The conference, hosted by King Abdulaziz University, aims to enhance the role of academic institutions as a key contributor to economic development by empowering the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem within Saudi universities, creating a stimulating environment for research and development, and investing in national talents to build a sustainable knowledge-based economy. It targets academics, specialists, researchers, and students, as well as decision-makers and government officials interested in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Participants in the conference will discuss ways to support entrepreneurship and enhance national and foreign investment in innovative companies, contributing to enabling universities to perform their functions effectively and efficiently in serving the nation and society. They emphasize that innovation is a shared responsibility that requires concerted efforts and integration between various sectors to achieve the ambitious vision's objectives.
The conference began with the main seminar titled "The Role of Government Sectors in Enhancing Research, Development, and Innovation to Achieve the Objectives of Vision 2030," moderated by the President of King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Tarif Youssef Al-Amma. The seminar addressed the integration of governmental and academic efforts in building a sustainable national system for research and development, activating partnerships between universities and the public and private sectors to transform ideas into projects with tangible economic and social impacts, in addition to showcasing qualitative initiatives that contribute to empowering Saudi innovators and entrepreneurs.
13 Training Workshops and 81 Speakers and Researchers
On the sidelines of the two-day conference, more than 13 specialized training workshops will be held, covering the latest practices in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, along with 3 scientific sessions discussing qualitative research in knowledge economy pathways, and 16 dialogue sessions bringing together a selection of local and international leaders and experts. The conference will also feature 3 main seminars with participation from over 81 speakers and researchers, presenting 12 scientific papers and 65 abstracts for academic publication.
The program also includes 56 scientific posters and 12 presentations that reflect the level of research interaction among Saudi universities, in addition to 41 innovations and 12 scientific research contributions representing the culmination of academic efforts and emerging entrepreneurial projects. The conference will see participation from 11 national companies, 20 Saudi universities, 3 research centers, along with 5 other entities from the public and private sectors.
