شارك وزير الصحة فهد بن عبدالرحمن الجلاجل، في أعمال الدورة الـ72 للجنة الإقليمية التابعة لمنظمة الصحة العالمية لإقليم شرق المتوسط، التي انعقدت في العاصمة المصرية القاهرة خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 17 أكتوبر 2025، بمشاركة وزراء الصحة وممثلي الدول الأعضاء في الإقليم، إلى جانب خبراء وممثلين عن منظمات دولية وشركاء في القطاع الصحي.
وتضمنت الاجتماعات مناقشة عدد من القضايا الصحية ذات الأولوية في إقليم شرق المتوسط، وسبل تنسيق الجهود المشتركة لمواجهة التحديات الصحية العامة، والعمل على مواءمة السياسات الصحية مع أهداف التنمية المستدامة، كما تناولت الجلسات سبل تعزيز النظم الصحية، وتحسين الوصول العادل إلى الخدمات والمنتجات الطبية الأساسية.
وأكد وزير الصحة خلال الاجتماعات، حرص المملكة العربية السعودية على مواصلة دورها الريادي في دعم الجهود الصحية الإقليمية والدولية، مشيراً إلى أن المملكة تعمل على بناء منظومة صحية متكاملة ومستدامة، ترتكز على الإنسان، وتتبنى الوقاية أولوية، وتُوفر رعاية شاملة لجميع أفراد المجتمع. كما نوه بأهمية التعاون الدولي في مواجهة التحديات الصحية المشتركة، بما يعزز جاهزية الدول ويحقق الأمن الصحي الإقليمي والعالمي.
وتأتي مشاركة المملكة في هذه الدورة تأكيداً لالتزامها بدعم المبادرات الصحية الدولية، وتفعيل شراكاتها مع المنظمات الأممية، ومنها منظمة الصحة العالمية، في سبيل تحقيق مستقبل صحي أكثر استدامة في المنطقة والعالم.
Health Minister Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel participated in the 72nd session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean Region, which was held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, from October 15 to 17, 2025, with the participation of health ministers and representatives of member states in the region, alongside experts and representatives from international organizations and partners in the health sector.
The meetings included discussions on several priority health issues in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, ways to coordinate joint efforts to address public health challenges, and working to align health policies with sustainable development goals. The sessions also addressed ways to strengthen health systems and improve equitable access to essential health services and products.
The Minister of Health emphasized during the meetings the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to continuing its leading role in supporting regional and international health efforts, noting that the Kingdom is working to build an integrated and sustainable health system that focuses on people, prioritizes prevention, and provides comprehensive care for all members of society. He also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in addressing common health challenges, which enhances the preparedness of countries and achieves regional and global health security.
The Kingdom's participation in this session reaffirms its commitment to supporting international health initiatives and activating its partnerships with UN organizations, including the World Health Organization, in order to achieve a more sustainable health future in the region and the world.
