زار وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة السعودية للمدن الصناعية ومناطق التقنية «مدن»، بندر بن إبراهيم الخريّف اليوم، المدينة الصناعية بالمدينة المنورة، برفقة الرئيس التنفيذي لـ«مدن» المهندس ماجد بن رافد العرقوبي.
وشهدت الزيارة تدشين مشاريع صناعية نوعية، شملت تدشين مصنع شركة المسبك السعودي لصب الألومنيوم المتخصص في صناعة قطع وأجزاء السيارات على مساحة تتجاوز (29) ألف متر مربع، إضافة إلى تدشين المجمع السكني المتكامل على مساحة (15) ألف متر مربع بالتعاون مع شركة إيواء السعودية للمجمعات السكنية، ضمن مبادرات «مدن» لتحسين جودة الحياة داخل المدينة الصناعية، وتوفير بيئة متكاملة وجاذبة للاستثمار.
وتفقد الخريف عددا من المنشآت الصناعية، منها مصنع شركة جلوبال ترونكس السعودية لإنتاج أجهزة التوزيع والتحكم الكهربائي، ومصنع أحمد سعيد كلش وشركائه للغتر والملابس، واطلع على خطوط الإنتاج، وعمليات التشغيل، واستمع إلى عروض حول الخطط المستقبلية للتوسع، وتعزيز كفاءة الإنتاج، وتوفير فرص العمل لأبناء وبنات المنطقة.
يشار إلى أن المدينة الصناعية بالمدينة المنورة، تغطي مساحتها المطورة (11.6) مليون متر مربع، ويصل عدد المنشآت الصناعية فيها (438) منشأة، بنسبة إشغال تبلغ (81%)، وتضم المدينة (120) مصنعا جاهزا، و(46) مستودعا، وتتركز الاستثمارات فيها على الصناعات الغذائية والطبية والكيميائية والآلات والمعدات وصناعة مواد البناء.
The Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones "MODON," Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, visited the industrial city in Medina today, accompanied by the CEO of "MODON," Engineer Majid bin Rafeed Al-Arqoubi.
The visit witnessed the inauguration of qualitative industrial projects, including the launch of the Saudi Foundry Company for aluminum casting, which specializes in manufacturing automotive parts and components, covering an area of over (29) thousand square meters. Additionally, the integrated residential complex was inaugurated over an area of (15) thousand square meters in collaboration with Ewa Saudi Arabia for residential complexes, as part of "MODON's" initiatives to improve the quality of life within the industrial city and provide an integrated and attractive environment for investment.
Al-Khorayef inspected several industrial facilities, including the Saudi Globaltronics Company for the production of electrical distribution and control devices, and the factory of Ahmed Said Kulash and Partners for traditional garments and clothing. He reviewed the production lines, operational processes, and listened to presentations about future expansion plans, enhancing production efficiency, and providing job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the region.
It is worth noting that the industrial city in Medina covers a developed area of (11.6) million square meters, with the number of industrial facilities reaching (438), with an occupancy rate of (81%). The city includes (120) ready factories and (46) warehouses, with investments concentrated in the food, medical, chemical, machinery, equipment, and construction materials industries.
