أشارت توقعات إلى أن سوق الاجتماعات والحوافز والمؤتمرات والمعارض (MICE) في المملكة، سيصل حجمها إلى 5.33 مليار دولار بحلول عام 2030. ما سيعجل ببروز السعودية ودول الخليج باعتبارها أكبر مناطق إقامة المناسبات، مستعينة ببرامج السياحة الكبرى، والربط الهائل للسفر الجوي، والرغبة المتزايدة في الإقبال على السعودية، باعتبارها منصة للتجارة العالمية والابتكارات.
وتتوسع سوق الاجتماعات والمؤتمرات والمعارض في المملكة بخطى متسارعة، مع نمو الاستثمار في القاعات الضخمة للمناسبات، وتطور البنية الأساسية، وتسارع الشراكات الدولية. وأشار تقرير اتجاهات السفر لعام 2025 إلى تزامن ذلك مع ارتفاع مستمر في السفر التنفيذي في أرجاء الشرق الأوسط. وأضاف أن الإنفاق على السفر التنفيذي العالمي لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط سينمو من 2.5% في عام 2024 إلى أكثر من 3% بحلول 2030. ولا يقتصر توسع حجم صناعة المناسبات والمؤتمرات على الأسواق المحلية في دول الخليج، خصوصاً السعودية، والإمارات، وقطر؛ بل أضحت تلك الدول من أكبر المستثمرين في المؤتمرات والمعارض في الخارج. وتستقطب السعودية، خصوصاً، عدداً كبيراً من المؤتمرات والمعارض ذات التأثير الكبير في النشاطات الاقتصادية العالمية.
