شارك وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله اليوم في الاجتماع التحضيري الذي استضافه الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون قبل انطلاق الاجتماع الوزاري بشأن الخطة الأمريكية لغزة، والخطوات القادمة من أجل وقف إطلاق النار، وذلك بحضور وزراء خارجية وممثلي كل من: دولة قطر، وجمهورية مصر العربية، والمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، والجمهورية التركية، ودولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وجمهورية إيطاليا، والمملكة المتحدة، وجمهورية ألمانيا الاتحادية، ومملكة إسبانيا، وكندا، والممثلة العليا للشؤون الخارجية والسياسة الأمنية في الاتحاد الأوروبي نائبة رئيس المفوضية الأوروبية السيدة كايا كالاس.
وجرى في بداية اللقاء التأكيد على الترحيب بمقترح الرئيس ترمب والاتفاق الذي تم التوصل له بشأن غزة، ووقف إطلاق النار وتبادل الأسرى وإطلاق سراح الرهائن، والتأكيد على أهمية الانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل، إضافة إلى التنسيق حيال معالجة الكارثة الإنسانية في قطاع غزة وجهود التعافي المبكر وإعادة الإعمار، ودعم السلطة الفلسطينية وتمكينها، والتشديد على أهمية ربط الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة في إطار تنفيذ حل الدولتين وفقاً لإعلان نيويورك بشأن الحل السلمي للقضية الفلسطينية وتنفيذ حل الدولتين.
Today, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the preparatory meeting hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron ahead of the ministerial meeting regarding the American plan for Gaza and the next steps towards a ceasefire. This was attended by foreign ministers and representatives from: the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Italy, the United Kingdom, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Spain, Canada, and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Vice President of the European Commission, Ms. Kaja Kallas.
At the beginning of the meeting, there was a reaffirmation of support for President Trump's proposal and the agreement reached regarding Gaza, the ceasefire, the exchange of prisoners, and the release of hostages, as well as the importance of complete Israeli withdrawal. Additionally, there was coordination regarding addressing the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip, efforts for early recovery and reconstruction, supporting the Palestinian Authority and empowering it, and emphasizing the importance of linking the West Bank and Gaza Strip in the context of implementing the two-state solution in accordance with the New York Declaration on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution.
