لا يزال المشهد السياسي في الشرق الأوسط مشتعلاً، بل وغامضاً، بعد مرور عامين على اندلاع حرب التقتيل والإبادة في غزة. الحرب التي أشعلتها حماس تحت عنوان «المقاومة»، حوّلتها إسرائيل إلى مواجهة مفتوحة في جبهات عدة تحت ذريعة «الدفاع عن النفس».
حرب العامين أحالت غزة إلى ركام، وخلّفت عشرات الآلاف من القتلى والمصابين والمفقودين، وتسبّبت في نزوح مئات آلاف المدنيين، والنتيجة لم يحقق أي طرف الانتصار الحاسم.
سياسيّاً، فشلت إسرائيل، حتى الآن، في تحقيق كل أهدافها المُعلنة، رغم خسائر حماس والفلسطينيين الفادحة، ليس هذا فحسب، بل إن حكومة رئيس وزراء الاحتلال بنيامين نتنياهو تواجه ضغوطاً داخلية وخارجية غير مسبوقة، سواء من عائلات الأسرى، أو المعارضة التي تتهم نتنياهو بإطالة الحرب لمكاسب سياسية، أو من الخارج لإنجاز خطة السلام الأمريكية.
وعلى المستوى الدولي، تآكلت صورة إسرائيل في الغرب مع تصاعد الانتقادات ضد جرائم الإبادة والتجويع، في وقت اكتسبت القضية الفلسطينية زخماً جديداً، ووضعت على أجندة الرأي العام العالمي، بفعل جهود تقودها السعودية أعادت إحياء حل الدولتين.
وهكذا بعد عامين، تحولت حرب غزة إلى صراع أعمق في توازنات الشرق الأوسط، إذ تصاعد دور الفاعلين غير الدوليين، واستعادت القضية الفلسطينية مركزيتها بعد سنوات من التجاهل، إنها حرب غيّرت معادلات المنطقة جذريّاً.

The political scene in the Middle East remains ablaze and ambiguous, two years after the outbreak of the war of killing and extermination in Gaza. The war ignited by Hamas under the banner of "resistance" has turned into an open confrontation on multiple fronts by Israel under the pretext of "self-defense."
The two-year war has reduced Gaza to rubble, leaving tens of thousands dead, injured, and missing, and causing the displacement of hundreds of thousands of civilians. The result is that neither side has achieved a decisive victory.
Politically, Israel has, so far, failed to achieve all its declared objectives, despite the heavy losses suffered by Hamas and the Palestinians. Not only that, but the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is facing unprecedented internal and external pressures, whether from the families of prisoners, or from the opposition accusing Netanyahu of prolonging the war for political gains, or from abroad to accomplish the American peace plan.
On the international level, Israel's image in the West has eroded with the rise of criticisms against crimes of extermination and starvation, while the Palestinian cause has gained new momentum and has been placed on the agenda of global public opinion, thanks to efforts led by Saudi Arabia that have revived the two-state solution.
Thus, after two years, the Gaza war has transformed into a deeper conflict in the balances of the Middle East, as the role of non-state actors has increased, and the Palestinian cause has regained its centrality after years of neglect. It is a war that has fundamentally changed the equations of the region.
