«النقل» تكثّف جولاتها الرقابية والغرامة بين 20 ألفاً وحجز المركبة

The regulatory teams affiliated with the Public Transport Authority have commenced their fieldwork in several locations within the regions and cities of the Kingdom, to monitor violators in passenger transport activities.

The campaigns focused on tracking individuals who are illegally preparing to transport passengers in their private vehicles without obtaining the necessary licenses, in addition to those engaging in unregulated transport through their private vehicles, known as "Kaddadah." They are dealt with according to the procedures and penalties stipulated in the new land transport law, which emphasizes imposing fines of up to 20,000 Riyals and impounding the vehicle for 60 days, leading to the auctioning of the vehicle in a public sale and deporting non-Saudi violators in case of repeated offenses.

The Authority confirmed that the regulatory teams carry out their work according to a continuous plan and around the clock, in coordination with relevant authorities, aiming to raise the level of compliance and enhance competitiveness among licensed service providers, contributing to the provision of safe and reliable transport services, and achieving the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.

The Authority urged all individuals to engage with licensed transporters to protect their rights and ensure their safety while traveling.
