افتتح ألكسندر إيزاك التسجيل لصالح ليفربول في الدقيقة 16، ثم أضاف فلوريان فيرتز الهدف الثاني للريدز في الدقيقة 29، قبل أن يقلص جولوفين أندريه النتيجة لموناكو في الدقيقة 44 من ركلة جزاء.
وأدرك ميكا بيريث التعادل لفريق موناكو في الدقيقة 56، ثم خطف باري برونر الفوز للفريق الفرنسي قبل دقيقتين من نهاية الوقت الأصلي للمباراة.

وكان ليفربول بقيادة مدربه الجديد أندوني إيراولا، قد خسر المباراة الودية الماضية أمام ليدز يونايتد بنتيجة 4-2، بعد أن كان متقدماً 2-0.

Liverpool FC suffered another friendly defeat against their French guest Monaco, losing three goals to two, in a match held today (Sunday) at Anfield, as part of both teams' preparations for the new season 2026-2027.
Alexander Isak opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 16th minute, then Florian Wirtz added the second goal for the Reds in the 29th minute, before Andrei Golovin reduced the deficit for Monaco with a penalty in the 44th minute.
Mika Beirith equalized for Monaco in the 56th minute, and then Barry Brunner snatched the victory for the French team just two minutes before the end of regular time.
Repeated Scenario
Liverpool, under their new coach Andoni Iraola, had lost their previous friendly match against Leeds United with a score of 4-2, after being ahead 2-0.
Liverpool will kick off their journey in the new season of the Premier League against Newcastle United on August 23rd.
