أثار الفنان الكويتي طارق العلي موجة واسعة من الجدل بعد انتشار مقطع فيديو ظهر فيه داخل قاعة سينما مظلمة، يجلس بمفرده أمام شاشة كبيرة تستعرض شريط ذكرياته ومحطات مشواره الفني الممتد لأكثر من ثلاثة عقود، بما في ذلك لقطاته الشهيرة مع الفنان الراحل عبد الحسين عبد الرضا.
وبنبرة يغلب عليها التأثر والشجن، قال العلي: «أكثر من 30 سنة.. فن وعطاء والتزام.. وجاء الوقت اللي أقول فيه شكراً.. واليوم أعلن فيه اعتزالي»، ما فتح الباب أمام سيل من التفسيرات والتكهنات حول حقيقة القرار.

حملة ترويجية ذكية
في المقابل، رجّح قطاع واسع من الجمهور والنقاد أن يكون الفيديو مجرد (برومو) تشويقي لعمل فني ضخم، وربما مرتبط بفيلمه السينمائي الجديد (ميس آن) الذي انتهى من تصويره مؤخراً ويجمعه بالفنانة إلهام الفضالة، معتبرين أن أسلوب التصوير والإخراج يوحي برسالة تسويقية أكثر من كونه إعلاناً نهائياً.
تشكيك تقني
ذهبت فئة محدودة إلى اعتبار المقطع مفبركاً باستخدام تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، مستندين إلى غياب أي بيان رسمي أو تعليق مباشر من الفنان عبر حساباته الموثقة.
حتى اللحظة، لم يصدر طارق العلي أي تصريح يؤكد أو ينفي قرار الاعتزال، ما أبقى الجمهور في حالة ترقب وانتظار، وسط تساؤلات حول ما إذا كان هذا الإعلان بداية فصل جديد في مسيرته، أم مجرد مقدمة لعمل فني يحمل طابعاً درامياً أو رمزياً.

Although thousands of fans expressed their deep sadness at the possibility of losing one of the most prominent pillars of Kuwaiti theater, opinions were divided regarding the nature of the announcement into three main hypotheses:

Some close associates and media figures, including journalist Nayef Al-Shammari, confirmed that the decision is genuine and that the clip is not part of an artistic work, noting that Al-Ali has been contemplating ending his artistic career after many years of continuous work.

On the other hand, a large segment of the audience and critics suggested that the video might just be a teaser (promo) for a major artistic work, possibly related to his new film (Miss Ann) which he recently finished filming alongside actress Ilham Al-Fadala, considering that the style of filming and directing hints at a marketing message rather than a final announcement.
Technical Doubts
A limited group went as far as to consider the clip to be fabricated using artificial intelligence techniques, citing the absence of any official statement or direct comment from the artist through his verified accounts.
So far, Tarek Al-Ali has not issued any statement confirming or denying the retirement decision, keeping the audience in a state of anticipation and waiting, amidst questions about whether this announcement marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career, or is merely a prelude to an artistic work that carries a dramatic or symbolic character.
