بتوجيهات الملك وولي العهد.. المملكة تُقدّم منحة لإمداد سورية بالبترول الخام

Under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Fund for Development, has provided a grant to supply the Syrian Arab Republic with one million six hundred and fifty thousand barrels of crude oil.

A memorandum of understanding was signed in this regard between the two sides, signed by the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Murshid, and the Minister of Energy of the Syrian Arab Republic, Engineer Mohammed Al-Bashir, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Syria, Dr. Faisal Al-Majfal, and the Deputy Minister of Energy for Technical and Regulatory Affairs of Oil and Gas, Engineer Majid Al-Otaibi.

Operational Sustainability

The grant contributes to enhancing the operation of Syrian refineries and achieving operational and financial sustainability, to support economic development and address economic challenges in Syria for the growth of its vital sectors, and to support national and international efforts in achieving sustainable development goals.

The grant reflects the Kingdom's efforts to contribute to improving the living conditions of the brotherly Syrian people, stemming from the close relations between the two countries.
