The CEO of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, Dr. Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, confirmed that the participation allowed for the introduction of Saudi literary and knowledge production and highlighted the depth of cultural relations between the Kingdom and Azerbaijan, noting that the Saudi pavilion reflected the cultural movement and development in the book industry that the Kingdom is witnessing, as part of the transformations occurring in the cultural sector under Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Wasel explained that the fair represented an opportunity to communicate with publishers and those interested in the book industry, and to explore opportunities for partnerships and knowledge exchange, which enhances the accessibility of Saudi publications to readers outside the Kingdom, and opens wider pathways for Saudi authors and publishers to be present in global cultural markets.
