رفع رئيس مجلس الشورى الشيخ الدكتور عبدالله بن محمد بن إبراهيم آل الشيخ، الشكر والعرفان لمقام خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، وإلى وليّ العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، على ما يحظى به مجلس الشورى من دعم ورعاية واهتمام مستمر، مؤكداً أن هذا الدعم الكريم يجسد حرص القيادة الحكيمة – أيدها الله – على تعزيز دور المجلس في دفع عجلة التنمية.
جاء ذلك في تصريح صحفي لرئيس مجلس الشورى عقب تشريف سمو ولي العهد للمجلس وافتتاحه نيابة عن خادم الحرمين الشريفين، أعمال السنة الثانية من الدورة التاسعة للمجلس اليوم الأربعاء.
و أعرب آل الشيخ عن بالغ التقدير والاعتزاز بما تضمنه الخطاب الملكي من مضامين سامية وتوجيهات، تمثل منهاج عملٍ واضح للمجلس في ممارسة أدواره التشريعية والرقابية خلال المرحلة المقبلة، كما ترسم ملامح مرحلة جديدة من العمل الوطني الطموح، مشيداً بما اشتمل عليه الخطاب من رؤى شاملة تمس مختلف القطاعات الاقتصادية والتنموية.
وأوضح رئيس المجلس أن إشادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي العهد بدور مجلس الشورى في الخطاب الملكي السنوي، تعكس ثقة القيادة في الجهود التي يبذلها المجلس، وتُعد وسام فخر ومحفزاً لبذل المزيد من العطاء والمضي قدماً في تطوير العمل التشريعي والرقابي بما يواكب تطلعات الوطن ويتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وأشار الدكتور عبدالله آل الشيخ إلى أن الخطاب الملكي جاء شاملاً في مضمونه، معبّراً عما حققته المملكة – بفضل الله – من منجزات نوعية في شتى المجالات.
كما نوّه بما تناوله الخطاب بوضوح من تقدم اقتصادي كبير، وتمكن المملكة من تقليص اعتمادها على النفط، فضلاً عن الاستثمار في التقنية، والذكاء الاصطناعي، والصناعات الدفاعية، ما يعزز من مكانتها على الساحة الدولية، ويؤكد قوة ومتانة اقتصادها الوطني.
كما ثمّن مضامين الخطاب الملكي فيما يتعلق بالشأن الخارجي، وما أعلنه ولي العهد من مواقف راسخة للمملكة تجاه قضايا المنطقة، وفي مقدمتها دعم القضية الفلسطينية ورفض الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية، مشيراً إلى ما أكّده سموه من استمرار المملكة في دورها الريادي لدعم الاستقرار الإقليمي والدولي، والدفاع عن الحقوق المشروعة.
وأكّد رئيس مجلس الشورى في معرض تصريحه، أن المجلس سيواصل أداءه التشريعي والرقابي بما ينسجم مع تطلعات القيادة الرشيدة، ويسهم في تحقيق الأهداف السامية التي وردت في الخطاب الملكي والذي يعد بمثابة خارطة طريق وطنية للمرحلة المقبلة، سيعمل المجلس على ترجمة مضامينها إلى واقع ملموس من خلال أعماله.
وفي ختام تصريحه، سأل الله سبحانه وتعالى أن يديم على خادم الحرمين الشريفين وولي عهده نعمة الصحة والعافية، وأن يوفقهما لما فيه خير الوطن والمواطن، وأن يحفظ المملكة ويزيدها رفعة واستقراراً وازدهاراً.
The Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the continuous support, care, and attention the Shura Council receives, affirming that this generous support embodies the wise leadership's commitment – may God support it – to enhance the council's role in driving the development process.
This came in a press statement from the Chairman of the Shura Council following the honor of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince attending the council and inaugurating, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the works of the second year of the ninth session of the council today, Wednesday.
Al Sheikh expressed his deep appreciation and pride in the noble contents and directives included in the royal speech, which represent a clear work agenda for the council in exercising its legislative and supervisory roles during the upcoming phase, as well as outlining the features of a new phase of ambitious national work, praising the comprehensive visions addressed in the speech that touch on various economic and developmental sectors.
The Chairman of the Council clarified that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince's commendation of the Shura Council's role in the annual royal speech reflects the leadership's confidence in the efforts exerted by the council, and it is considered a badge of honor and a motivator to give more and move forward in developing legislative and supervisory work in line with the aspirations of the nation and in accordance with the objectives of Vision 2030.
Dr. Abdullah Al Sheikh pointed out that the royal speech was comprehensive in its content, expressing what the Kingdom has achieved – thanks to God – in qualitative accomplishments across various fields.
He also highlighted the clear mention in the speech of significant economic progress and the Kingdom's ability to reduce its dependence on oil, in addition to investing in technology, artificial intelligence, and defense industries, which enhances its position on the international stage and confirms the strength and resilience of its national economy.
He valued the contents of the royal speech regarding foreign affairs and what the Crown Prince announced about the Kingdom's steadfast positions on regional issues, foremost among them supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting Israeli aggressions, noting what His Highness affirmed about the Kingdom's continued pioneering role in supporting regional and international stability and defending legitimate rights.
The Chairman of the Shura Council emphasized in his statement that the council will continue its legislative and supervisory performance in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and contribute to achieving the noble goals mentioned in the royal speech, which serves as a national roadmap for the upcoming phase, and the council will work to translate its contents into tangible reality through its activities.
In conclusion of his statement, he prayed to God Almighty to grant the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince the blessing of health and wellness, to guide them to what is good for the nation and its citizens, and to protect the Kingdom and increase its elevation, stability, and prosperity.
