شاركت المملكة العربية السعودية في القمة العالمية للمعلمين التي انعقدت في العاصمة التشيلية سانتياغو ممثلة للدول العربية، بوفد رأسه نيابةً عن معالي وزير التعليم يوسف بن عبدالله البنيان، وكيل وزارة التعليم للتخطيط المهندس سعد بن عبدالغني الغامدي، وضم ممثلين من قيادات وزارة التعليم والمعهد الوطني للتطوير المهني التعليمي، وسط مشاركة وفود دولية رفيعة المستوى.
وخلال اجتماع القادة للجنة التوجيهية رفيعة المستوى الخاصة بالهدف الرابع من أهداف التنمية المستدامة المعني بـ«ضمان التعليم الجيد والمنصف والشامل للجميع»، ألقى وكيل وزارة التعليم للتخطيط كلمة المملكة باسم المجموعة العربية، أكد فيها التزام المملكة بدعم الجهود العالمية لتحقيق أهداف التعليم المستدام.
وأشار في كلمته إلى التقدم الملموس الذي حققته الدول العربية في معدلات الالتحاق بالتعليم الأساسي والثانوي، مشيدًا بالمبادرات الوطنية والإقليمية التي أسهمت في ضمان وصول التعليم للجميع, مؤكدًا الدور الريادي الذي تضطلع به المملكة في دعم المشاريع التعليمية في الدول الشقيقة مثل: سورية واليمن ولبنان، انطلاقًا من مسؤوليتها الإنسانية ورؤيتها التنموية المتكاملة.
وسلّط الغامدي الضوء على ما حققته المملكة في مجال توظيف التقنية والذكاء الاصطناعي في التعليم، مشيرًا إلى الشراكات المثمرة مع منظمة اليونسكو، مبيّنًا أن استضافة المملكة المركز الدولي لأبحاث وأخلاقيات الذكاء الاصطناعي تمثل خطوة إستراتيجية لتعزيز القدرات الوطنية والإقليمية في هذا المجال الحيوي.
واستعرض وكيل وزارة التعليم للتخطيط ملامح الرؤية المستقبلية للمملكة في قطاع التعليم، التي ترتكز على جودة التعليم، وتعزيز استدامته من خلال مبادرات التعليم الأخضر، وترسيخ قيم التسامح والتعايش، ودعم التعلم مدى الحياة, لافتًا الانتباه إلى أهمية تمكين المعلم بصفته ركيزة أساسية في العملية التعليمية، من خلال التدريب المستمر وتهيئة بيئة تعليمية محفزة للإبداع والتميز.
واختتم الغامدي كلمته بالتأكيد أن الاستثمار في التعليم هو استثمار في رأس المال البشري، داعيًا إلى تعزيز الشراكات الدولية، وابتكار أدوات تمويلية جديدة تضمن حق كل طفل وشاب في الحصول على تعليم نوعي يمكّنه من الإسهام الإيجابي في مجتمعه وفي العالم.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the Global Teachers Summit held in the Chilean capital, Santiago, representing Arab countries, with a delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Education for Planning, Engineer Saad bin Abdulghani Al-Ghamdi, on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bunyan. The delegation included representatives from the leadership of the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Professional Educational Development, amidst the participation of high-level international delegations.
During the leaders' meeting of the high-level steering committee concerning the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals related to "ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all," the Deputy Minister of Education for Planning delivered the Kingdom's speech on behalf of the Arab group, reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to supporting global efforts to achieve sustainable education goals.
In his speech, he pointed out the tangible progress made by Arab countries in enrollment rates in primary and secondary education, praising the national and regional initiatives that contributed to ensuring education for all, emphasizing the pioneering role played by the Kingdom in supporting educational projects in brotherly countries such as Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon, stemming from its humanitarian responsibility and comprehensive developmental vision.
Al-Ghamdi highlighted what the Kingdom has achieved in the field of employing technology and artificial intelligence in education, noting the fruitful partnerships with UNESCO, indicating that hosting the International Center for Research and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in the Kingdom represents a strategic step to enhance national and regional capabilities in this vital field.
The Deputy Minister of Education for Planning reviewed the future vision of the Kingdom in the education sector, which is based on the quality of education and enhancing its sustainability through green education initiatives, instilling values of tolerance and coexistence, and supporting lifelong learning, drawing attention to the importance of empowering the teacher as a fundamental pillar in the educational process through continuous training and creating an inspiring educational environment for creativity and excellence.
Al-Ghamdi concluded his speech by emphasizing that investing in education is an investment in human capital, calling for the enhancement of international partnerships and the innovation of new financial tools that guarantee the right of every child and young person to receive quality education that enables them to contribute positively to their community and to the world.
