أطلق الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة رعاية الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الدكتور هشام الحيدري، مبادرة «السبت البنفسجي».
وتهدف المبادرة إلى خلق تفاعل اجتماعي وحراك مؤثر يسهم في إدماج الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في المجتمع وتعزيز الشمولية ورفع مستوى الوعي بحقوقهم ومعرفة احتياجاتهم ومتطلباتهم في البيئة الاقتصادية وتعزيز إمكانية الوصول المادية والرقمية، من خلال تقديم العروض والتخفيضات والمزايا التجارية المقدمة من الجهات المشاركة في المبادرة.
وتشهد المبادرة في نسختها الخامسة أيضًا إطلاق جائزة السبت البنفسجي 2025 التي تتضمن عددًا من المسارات مثل أفضل مبادرة لتعزيز الشمولية، ومسار أفضل تجربة عميل من ذوي الإعاقة وغيرها من المسارات التي تُمنح للجهات والأفراد الذين يسهمون في تمكين الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة وتحقيق أثر اجتماعي يعزز الاندماج والشمولية ضمن مبادرة السبت البنفسجي.
كما أتاحت المبادرة لهذا العام إطلاق (بطاقة السبت البنفسجي) عبر تطبيق توكلنا بصفته أحد طرق التحقق المعتمدة للجهات المقدمة للعروض والخصومات التجارية، بالإضافة إلى بقية الوسائل مثل بطاقة التسهيلات وبطاقة إركاب.
يشار إلى أن هيئة رعاية الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة تعمل بالتكامل والتعاون مع مختلف القطاعات في تعزيز الخدمات وتكامل الأدوار والإسهام في إعداد التشريعات والسياسات التي تضمن تحسين جودة حياة الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 والوصول إلى مجتمع شامل وممكن ومتكافئ الفرص.
The CEO of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari, launched the "Purple Saturday" initiative.
The initiative aims to create social interaction and impactful movement that contributes to the integration of persons with disabilities into society, enhances inclusivity, and raises awareness of their rights and understanding of their needs and requirements in the economic environment. It also aims to enhance physical and digital accessibility by offering promotions, discounts, and commercial benefits provided by the participating entities in the initiative.
This fifth edition of the initiative also witnesses the launch of the Purple Saturday Award 2025, which includes several categories such as Best Initiative for Promoting Inclusivity, Best Customer Experience for Persons with Disabilities, and other categories awarded to entities and individuals who contribute to empowering persons with disabilities and achieving a social impact that enhances integration and inclusivity within the Purple Saturday initiative.
This year, the initiative has also enabled the launch of the (Purple Saturday Card) via the Tawakkalna app as one of the approved verification methods for the entities offering promotions and commercial discounts, in addition to other means such as the Facilitation Card and Boarding Card.
It is noteworthy that the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities works in integration and cooperation with various sectors to enhance services, integrate roles, and contribute to the preparation of legislation and policies that ensure the improvement of the quality of life for persons with disabilities, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and the goal of achieving an inclusive, empowering, and equal-opportunity society.
