نجح فريق المركز السعودي لزراعة الأعضاء خلال الأسبوع الماضي من الحصول على موافقة ذوي مواطنة متوفاة دماغيًا للتبرع بأعضائها لصالح مرضى الفشل العضوي.
وأسهمت الموافقة في إنقاذ حياة 3 مرضى وإنهاء معاناتهم مع أمراض الفشل العضوي النهائي، وذلك بإجراء عملية زراعة قلب لفتاة تبلغ من العمر 20 عامًا، وزراعة إحدى الكليتين لمريضة تبلغ من العمر 23 عامًا أنهت معاناتها التي استمرت لمدة 7 أعوام مع مرض الفشل الكلوي وجلسات الغسيل الدموي، بينما زرعت الكلية الأخرى لمريض آخر يبلغ من العمر 40 عامًا عانى لمدة 6 أعوام مع جلسات الغسيل الدموي.
وبمساهمة عائلة المتوفية على التبرع تمت إعادة البهجة والحياة لـ 3 عوائل مما يظهر تلاحم مجتمعنا وحبه للعطاء، وقد تمت عملية التبرع ونقل الأعضاء بإشراف من المركز السعودي لزراعة الأعضاء وبالتنسيق مع مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالرياض فرع السويدي.
وأوضح المدير العام للمركز السعودي لزراعة الأعضاء الدكتور طلال القوفي، أن عملية توزيع الأعضاء تمت وفق الأخلاقيات الطبية وبما يضمن عدالة التوزيع بحسب الأولويات الطبية للمرضى، مبينًا بأن النجاح المحقق جاء نتيجة التعاون المشترك بين الجهات المعنية كافة.
وعبّر القوفي عن عظيم امتنانه لعائلة المتوفاة الذين آثروا التبرع بأعضائها لهؤلاء المرضى، داعيًا الله سبحانه أن يتغمد فقيدتهم بواسع رحمته وأن يجزيهم خير الجزاء في الدنيا والآخرة.
The Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation team succeeded last week in obtaining the consent of the relatives of a brain-dead citizen to donate her organs for the benefit of patients with organ failure.
The consent contributed to saving the lives of 3 patients and ending their suffering from end-stage organ failure diseases, by performing a heart transplant for a 20-year-old girl, and transplanting one kidney for a 23-year-old patient who ended her 7-year struggle with kidney failure and dialysis sessions, while the other kidney was transplanted to another patient aged 40 who suffered for 6 years with dialysis sessions.
With the contribution of the deceased's family to the donation, joy and life were restored to 3 families, which demonstrates the solidarity of our community and its love for giving. The organ donation and transfer process was supervised by the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation in coordination with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Riyadh, Al Suwaidi branch.
The General Director of the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation, Dr. Talal Al-Qufi, explained that the distribution of organs was carried out according to medical ethics and in a manner that ensures fair distribution based on the medical priorities of the patients, indicating that the achieved success was the result of joint cooperation among all concerned parties.
Al-Qufi expressed his deep gratitude to the family of the deceased who chose to donate her organs to these patients, praying to God Almighty to envelop their deceased in His vast mercy and to reward them abundantly in this world and the Hereafter.
