أكد الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، أن إدارات الجوازات بوزارات الداخلية بدول المجلس ومن خلال اجتماعاتهم الفنية المشتركة والمستمرة، يبذلون جهوداً قيمة للبدء بانطلاق مشروع التأشيرة السياحية الموحدة، خلال الفترة القادمة القريبة.
جاء ذلك خلال لقائه، بالمشاركين في الاجتماع الـ39 للمديرين العامين للجوازات بدول مجلس التعاون، أمس (الأربعاء)، بمقر الأمانة العامة في الرياض.
وخلال الاجتماع اطلع الأمين العام، على مشروع جدول الأعمال، ومن ضمنها مشروع التأشيرة الخليجية، والاطلاع على آخر ما توصلت إليه اجتماعات الفرق الفنية المعنية بهذا المشروع.
وأشاد بجهود المشاركين بالاجتماع في تعزيز أواصر التعاون والتنسيق بين دول مجلس التعاون في مجال الجوازات، وتبادل الخبرات المميزة، بما يخدم أمن دول مجلس التعاون المشترك، ويسهل حركة التنقل بين دول المجلس، تحقيقاً لتطلعات قادة دول مجلس التعاون وشعوبها، مؤكداً أن الجميع يعمل بروح الفريق الواحد لمواكبة التطورات التقنية والمتطلبات الأمنية في عالم يتسم بالتغير المتسارع.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, confirmed that the passport departments of the interior ministries in the member states are making valuable efforts to launch the unified tourist visa project in the near future, through their ongoing technical meetings.
This came during his meeting with participants in the 39th meeting of the Directors General of Passports of the Gulf Cooperation Council, yesterday (Wednesday), at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General reviewed the draft agenda, which includes the Gulf visa project, and was updated on the latest developments from the meetings of the technical teams concerned with this project.
He praised the efforts of the participants in the meeting to enhance cooperation and coordination among the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in the field of passports, and to exchange distinguished experiences, which serve the security of the member states and facilitate the movement between them, in line with the aspirations of the leaders and peoples of the Gulf Cooperation Council, emphasizing that everyone is working in a spirit of teamwork to keep pace with technological developments and security requirements in a rapidly changing world.
