أدان الأمين العام لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية جاسم محمد البديوي، بأشد عبارات الإدانة والاستنكار، الهجوم الصاروخي الذي قامت به إيران ضد أراضي دولة قطر.
وأكد البديوي أن هذا الاعتداء يُعد انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة دولة قطر، ومساساً مباشراً بأمن دول المجلس كافة، مجدداً التأكيد على أن أمن دول مجلس التعاون كلٌ لا يتجزأ، وأن المجلس يقف صفاً واحداً مع دولة قطر في مواجهة أي تهديد لأمنها وسلامة أراضيها.
وقال البديوي: «في الوقت الذي تقوم دولة قطر ودول مجلس التعاون بإدانة شديدة للهجمات الإسرائيلية على الأراضي الإيرانية، وتبذل كل جهودها لوقف إطلاق النار والوساطة، تفاجأ بهذا الهجوم الصاروخي الإيراني عليها الذي يعد خرقاً لجميع الأعراف والمعاهدات والقوانين الدولية والأممية».
ودعا البديوي المجتمع الدولي، ومجلس الأمن، إلى تحمّل مسؤولياته في إدانة هذا العمل العدواني، واتخاذ خطوات فاعلة لردع التصرفات الإيرانية غير المسؤولة، والعمل على استعادة الاستقرار ومنع مزيد من التصعيد في المنطقة، وتغليب لغة الحوار والدبلوماسية، حفاظاً على أمن المنطقة وسلام شعوبها.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms the missile attack carried out by Iran against the territory of the State of Qatar.
Al-Budaiwi affirmed that this aggression constitutes a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar and a direct threat to the security of all member states, reiterating that the security of the GCC countries is indivisible and that the Council stands united with the State of Qatar in facing any threat to its security and territorial integrity.
Al-Budaiwi stated: "At a time when the State of Qatar and the GCC countries are strongly condemning the Israeli attacks on Iranian territory and are making every effort to achieve a ceasefire and mediation, we are surprised by this Iranian missile attack on it, which is a breach of all norms, treaties, and international and global laws."
Al-Budaiwi called on the international community and the Security Council to assume their responsibilities in condemning this aggressive act, taking effective steps to deter Iran's irresponsible actions, working to restore stability, preventing further escalation in the region, and prioritizing dialogue and diplomacy to maintain the security of the region and the peace of its peoples.
