واصل مركز الأمير سلطان للدراسات والبحوث الدفاعية حضوره في النسخة الثالثة من معرض الدفاع العالمي WDS 2026، مؤكدًا دوره الريادي في دعم البحث العلمي وتحويل الأفكار الوطنية إلى تقنيات دفاعية متقدمة.
وجاءت المشاركة هذه المرة تحت شعار «تقنيات وطنية لأمن مستدام»، حيث استعرض المركز رحلة ابتكاراته البحثية من الفكرة إلى التطبيق عبر ثلاثة أجنحة مخصصة للزوار، تضمنت أبرز المشروعات مثل الزورق المسيّر وجناح دعم الابتكار الذي يسلط الضوء على المبادرات البحثية في الجامعات والمؤسسات الوطنية.
وفي إطار تعزيز القدرات المعرفية، شارك مدير عام إدارة الحرب الإلكترونية بالمركز المهندس ثامر بن خميس في جلسة حوارية ركزت على تمكين التطبيقات الدفاعية والأمنية من خلال التوجهات والخطط الإستراتيجية، مؤكدًا أن التعاون بين الجهات الوطنية والخبراء يسهم في ابتكار حلول مثل الرادارات المتطورة والأنظمة المسيرة، ويعزز جاهزية الأمن الوطني.
ولم تقتصر إنجازات المركز على العرض البحثي، بل شهدت المشاركة توقيع 9 اتفاقيات وشراكات تعاون وطنية مع مؤسسات رائدة، لتعزيز توطين الصناعات العسكرية وفق رؤية المملكة 2030، ودعم التكامل بين البحث العلمي والتطبيق العملي، وفتح آفاق جديدة للابتكار الدفاعي في المستقبل.
من خلال هذه المشاركة، يؤكد المركز أنه منصة وطنية للابتكار الدفاعي، تجمع بين البحث، التطوير، والتطبيق، لتقديم حلول تقنية تسهم في رفع الجاهزية الأمنية والتقنية للمملكة وتعكس طموحاتها في بناء قطاع دفاعي متطور ومستدام.
The Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research continued its presence at the third edition of the World Defense Show WDS 2026, reaffirming its pioneering role in supporting scientific research and transforming national ideas into advanced defense technologies.
This time, the participation came under the slogan "National Technologies for Sustainable Security," where the center showcased its journey of research innovations from idea to application through three dedicated visitor pavilions, which included prominent projects such as the unmanned boat and the innovation support pavilion that highlights research initiatives in universities and national institutions.
In the context of enhancing cognitive capabilities, the Director General of the Electronic Warfare Department at the center, Engineer Thamer bin Khamis, participated in a panel discussion that focused on enabling defense and security applications through strategic directions and plans, emphasizing that collaboration between national entities and experts contributes to the innovation of solutions such as advanced radars and unmanned systems, and enhances national security readiness.
The center's achievements were not limited to research presentations; the participation also witnessed the signing of 9 agreements and national cooperation partnerships with leading institutions to enhance the localization of military industries in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, support the integration between scientific research and practical application, and open new horizons for future defense innovation.
Through this participation, the center affirms that it is a national platform for defense innovation, combining research, development, and application to provide technological solutions that contribute to enhancing the security and technological readiness of the Kingdom and reflect its ambitions in building a developed and sustainable defense sector.
