يعود النجم الأمريكي جورج كلوني إلى الأضواء بفيلمه الجديد «جاي كيلي»، مجسداً شخصية ممثل مخضرم يواجه تحديات العمر عبر حيل تجميلية طريفة، من بينها استخدام قلم فلوماستر أسود لتعتيم الحاجبين، وهي طريقة اعترف بأنه يلجأ إليها في الواقع أيضاً.
وأوضح الممثل جورج كلوني البالغ 64 عاماً، خلال تصريحاته في لندن لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية أن هذه الحيلة «تعمل فعلاً»، مشيراً إلى أنه لطالما تعامل مع الشيب بثقة، ليصبح أحد أبرز الوجوه التي كرّست قبول الشعر الرمادي في هوليوود وخارجها.
ويتناول فيلم «جاي كيلي» المقرر عرضه على «نتفليكس» في الخامس من ديسمبر، قصة فنان كاريزمي ينظر بمرارة إلى محطات حياته بعد سنوات من التضحيات التي خيّبت آمال كثيرين، بينهم أقرب الناس إليه. لكن النجم جورج كلوني أكد أن شخصية الفيلم لا تشبهه قائلاً إنه لا يحمل الندم الذي يطارد بطل العمل، وأن عائلته لا تزال تقدّره «على الأقل في الوقت الراهن».
كلوني الحاصل على الأوسكار عن فيلم سيريانا، يواصل التعامل مع تقدّم العمر بخفة ظل، قائلاً إن الحياة تمنح خيارين لا ثالث لهما: التقدّم في السن أو الموت، مضيفاً بابتسامة أنه يحاول بكل بساطة جعل الشيب مقبولاً مجدداً.

However, star George Clooney confirmed that the character in the film does not resemble him, stating that he does not carry the regret that haunts the film's protagonist, and that his family still appreciates him "at least for now."
Clooney, who won an Oscar for the film Syriana, continues to deal with aging with a sense of humor, saying that life offers two options: getting older or dying, adding with a smile that he is simply trying to make gray hair acceptable again.
