أعلن مؤسس ورئيس مهرجان الأقصر للسينما الأفريقية السيناريست سيد فؤاد انطلاق استمارة قبول الأفلام المشاركة بالدورة الخامسة عشرة من المهرجان، المقررة إقامتها في الفترة من 30 مارس حتى 5 أبريل 2026 بمدينة الأقصر جنوبي مصر، برئاسة شرفية للنجم الكبير محمود حميدة.
وأوضح فؤاد أن باب التقديم مفتوح للأفلام في أربع مسابقات رئيسية، تشمل الأفلام الطويلة (روائية، وتسجيلية، وتحريك)، والأفلام القصيرة من إخراج مخرجين أفارقة، إلى جانب مسابقة أفلام الشتات (الدياسبورا) المخصصة للمخرجين الأفارقة المقيمين خارج القارة، إضافة إلى مسابقة خاصة لشباب محافظتي الأقصر وقنا.
من جانبها، كشفت مديرة المهرجان عزة الحسيني أن الإدارة ستنظم ورشة عمل قبل انطلاق الدورة موجهة لشباب الأقصر وقنا لصناعة الأفلام القصيرة منخفضة الميزانية، بهدف دعمهم ودمجهم في المشهد السينمائي الأفريقي. كما أعلنت أن باب التقديم مفتوح عبر موقع المهرجان من 20 أغسطس حتى 25 نوفمبر 2025، بشرط أن تكون الأفلام من إنتاج 2025 ولم يسبق عرضها في مصر.
ويقام المهرجان بتنظيم مؤسسة شباب الفنانين المستقلين للدعم والتنمية، بالشراكة مع وزارات الثقافة والسياحة والآثار والشباب والرياضة والخارجية المصرية، بالتعاون مع محافظة الأقصر وبرعاية نقابة السينمائيين والبنك الأهلي المصري وعدد من المؤسسات الثقافية.
The founder and president of the Luxor African Film Festival, screenwriter Said Fouad, announced the launch of the application form for films participating in the fifteenth edition of the festival, scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 5, 2026, in Luxor, southern Egypt, with honorary presidency by the great star Mahmoud Hamida.
Fouad explained that the submission is open for films in four main competitions, including feature films (narrative, documentary, and animation), and short films directed by African directors, in addition to a competition for diaspora films dedicated to African directors residing outside the continent, as well as a special competition for the youth of Luxor and Qena.
For her part, the festival director Azza El-Husseini revealed that the administration will organize a workshop before the festival aimed at the youth of Luxor and Qena for producing low-budget short films, with the goal of supporting them and integrating them into the African film scene. She also announced that the application period is open through the festival's website from August 20 to November 25, 2025, provided that the films are produced in 2025 and have not been previously screened in Egypt.
The festival is organized by the Independent Artists Support and Development Foundation, in partnership with the Ministries of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Youth and Sports, and Foreign Affairs of Egypt, in collaboration with the Luxor Governorate and under the auspices of the Cinema Syndicate, the National Bank of Egypt, and several cultural institutions.
