قرر المجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام في مصر، برئاسة المهندس خالد عبدالعزيز، خلال اجتماعه الأخير، إحالة الإعلامية ومقدمة البرامج مها الصغير إلى النيابة العامة لتعديها على حقوق الملكية الفكرية لأعمال فنية مملوكة لآخرين عملاً بنصوص المواد 138/ 1 و139 و140 /9 من القانون 82 لسنة 2002 في شان الملكية الفكرية والمادتين 69 /5 و70 /3 من القانون 180 لسنة 2018 بإصدار قانون تنظيم الصحافة والإعلام والمجلس الأعلى لتنظيم الإعلام.
كما منع المجلس الصغير من الظهور الإعلامي في كافة الوسائل الإعلامية لمدة ستة أشهر، لمخالفة المعايير والتعليمات الصادرة عن المجلس، وذلك بعد الجدل الكبير الذي رافق ظهورها في واحدة من حلقات برنامج «معكم منى الشاذلي»، إذ نسبت لنفسها أعمالاً فنية تعود لفنانين عالميين.
كما قرر المجلس توجيه لفت نظر لفريق عمل برنامج معكم منى الشاذلي لعدم تحري الدقة خلال عمليات إعداد البرنامج، مما أدى إلى مخالفة المعايير والأكواد الصادرة عن المجلس.
The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt, chaired by Engineer Khaled Abdelaziz, during its recent meeting, decided to refer the media personality and program host Maha El-Sagheer to the Public Prosecution for violating the intellectual property rights of artistic works owned by others, in accordance with the provisions of Articles 138/1, 139, and 140/9 of Law 82 of 2002 concerning intellectual property, and Articles 69/5 and 70/3 of Law 180 of 2018 regarding the issuance of the Press and Media Regulation Law and the Supreme Council for Media Regulation.
The council also banned El-Sagheer from appearing in any media outlets for six months, due to her violation of the standards and instructions issued by the council, following the significant controversy that accompanied her appearance in one of the episodes of the program "With You, Mona El-Shazly," where she attributed artistic works to herself that actually belong to international artists.
The council also decided to issue a notice to the production team of the program "With You, Mona El-Shazly" for failing to ensure accuracy during the preparation of the program, which led to a violation of the standards and codes issued by the council.
