أعلنت الفنانة المصرية إلهام شاهين والإعلامية هالة سرحان عودتهما إلى القاهرة خلال ساعات القادمة، بعد احتجازهما 3 أيام في الأراضي العراقية نتيجة إغلاق المجال الجوي، على خلفية التوترات الأخيرة بين إيران وإسرائيل.
ووثّقت كل منهما تفاصيل تجربتهما من خلال فيديوهات وتصريحات عبر حساباتهما على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، معربتين عن سعادتهما بقرب العودة إلى أرض الوطن.
وقالت إلهام شاهين قبل قليل من مطار البصرة:« أخيراً إحنا في مطار البصرة على حدود العراق، رحلة طويلة من بغداد إلى البصرة، ولكن الحمد لله عدت على خير، وإن شاء الله احنا في طريقنا للقاهرة، وحشتنا القاهرة دولة العراق كانت مهتمة بينا وبوجودنا، وكنا في مهرجان دولي للمرأة برعاية رئيس الوزراء العراقي، وقابلنا السيدة الأولى في العراق ورئيس البرلمان».
من جانبها، أعربت هالة سرحان عن سعادتها بالعودة إلى مصر، مشيدة بحسن الاستقبال والرعاية التي حظيت بها من الجانب العراقي، وقالت في الفيديو: «أنا سعيدة جداً إن خلاص النهاردة متجهين إلى مصر المحروسة، ومشاركتنا في المؤتمر الدولي للإعلاميات كانت تجربة مهمة، وبشكر كل زملائنا وحبايبنا اللي ما بطلوش يطمنوا علينا».
وأكدت إلهام شاهين أنهما لم يكونا في خطر مباشر ولكن المطار كان مغلقا ولم يكونا على علم متى سيُفتح المطار أو متى العودة إلى القاهرة، وأنهما شاهدتا الصواريخ وهما على بعد 10 كيلومترات من القصف.
يُذكر أنَّ الثنائي كانا في العراق ضمن وفد مصري مشارك في مؤتمر دولي للمرأة والإعلاميات العربيات، قبل أن تُجبرهما الظروف الأمنية على البقاء هناك لعدة أيام، إلى أن تمّ تأمين عودتهما بمرافقة وفد رسمي رفيع المستوى من الحكومة العراقية.
The Egyptian artist Elham Shahin and the media personality Hala Sarhan announced their return to Cairo within the coming hours, after being held for 3 days in Iraqi territory due to the closure of airspace, following the recent tensions between Iran and Israel.
Each documented the details of their experience through videos and statements on their social media accounts, expressing their happiness about the imminent return to their homeland.
Elham Shahin said a short while ago from Basra Airport: "Finally, we are at Basra Airport on the borders of Iraq, a long journey from Baghdad to Basra, but thank God it went well, and God willing, we are on our way to Cairo. We missed Cairo. The state of Iraq was concerned about us and our presence, and we were at an international festival for women under the patronage of the Iraqi Prime Minister, and we met the First Lady of Iraq and the Speaker of Parliament."
For her part, Hala Sarhan expressed her happiness about returning to Egypt, praising the warm reception and care she received from the Iraqi side. She said in the video: "I am very happy that today we are heading to blessed Egypt, and our participation in the international conference for female journalists was an important experience. I thank all our colleagues and loved ones who kept checking on us."
Elham Shahin confirmed that they were not in immediate danger, but the airport was closed, and they were unaware of when it would reopen or when they could return to Cairo. They saw the rockets while they were 10 kilometers away from the shelling.
It is worth noting that the duo was in Iraq as part of an Egyptian delegation participating in an international conference for women and Arab female journalists, before security conditions forced them to stay there for several days, until their return was secured with the accompaniment of a high-level official delegation from the Iraqi government.
