سقطت مروحية عسكرية نيجيرية، اليوم (الاثنين)، في جنوب غرب البلاد، بعد أن فقدت الاتصال بالرادار خلال رحلة كانت متجهة من بنن إلى لاغوس، فيما تواصل فرق الإنقاذ عمليات البحث وسط غموض يحيط بملابسات الحادث.
وقال وزير الطيران النيجيري فستوس كيامو إن المروحية، التي كانت تقل 25 راكبًا إلى جانب 7 من أفراد الطاقم، تحطمت بالقرب من قاعدة بحرية في منطقة إيجبوكودا بولاية أوندو.
وأوضح كيامو أنه جرى رصد حطام الطائرة في موقع الحادث، بينما تستمر عمليات البحث والإنقاذ للوصول إلى جميع من كانوا على متنها، بحسب ما نقلته وكالة «رويترز».
ولم تعلن السلطات النيجيرية حتى الآن عن تسجيل وفيات أو إصابات جراء الحادث، في انتظار ما ستسفر عنه عمليات البحث الجارية.
وتحمل المروحية العسكرية رقم التسجيل NGR 931، وكانت في طريقها من مدينة بنن إلى لاغوس عندما انقطع الاتصال بها عبر الرادار صباح اليوم.
وأظهر مقطع فيديو عمليات البحث التي تجري في إحدى المناطق المستنقعية، فيما لم تتضح حتى الآن الأسباب التي أدت إلى سقوط المروحية، وسط استمرار التحقيقات لكشف تفاصيل وملابسات الحادث.
A Nigerian military helicopter crashed today (Monday) in the southwest of the country after losing radar contact during a flight from Benin to Lagos, while rescue teams continue search operations amid uncertainty surrounding the circumstances of the incident.
Nigerian Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo stated that the helicopter, which was carrying 25 passengers along with 7 crew members, crashed near a naval base in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State.
Keyamo explained that the wreckage of the aircraft has been spotted at the crash site, while search and rescue operations continue to reach all those on board, according to what was reported by Reuters.
Nigerian authorities have not yet reported any fatalities or injuries resulting from the incident, pending the outcome of the ongoing search operations.
The military helicopter bears registration number NGR 931 and was en route from Benin City to Lagos when radar contact was lost this morning.
A video showed the search operations taking place in a swampy area, while the reasons for the helicopter's crash remain unclear, with investigations ongoing to uncover the details and circumstances of the incident.
