The spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, announced today (Sunday) the commencement of the liberation battle and the continuation of restoring state institutions and ending the Houthi coup, affirming that the armed forces are moving towards reclaiming state territories, asserting national sovereignty, and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
Al-Nazili stated in a statement that the decisive battle aims to end the manifestations of the Houthi coup in areas under the militia's control by force and to restore state institutions and its sovereignty, pointing out that the Houthis have inflicted severe damage on the Yemeni social fabric and violated tribal norms, and their threat has exceeded Yemen's borders to its regional and international surroundings.
He emphasized that the national battle represents the path to returning Yemen to its Arab embrace and its strategic depth among its brothers, stressing the right of the state and citizens to reclaim all their rights and live with dignity, while committing to protecting civilians and shielding them from any harm in various regions and governorates.
The spokesperson for the armed forces renewed his call to those misled and fighters within the ranks of the terrorist Houthi militia to lay down their arms immediately and return to their homes, to spare their blood and distance themselves from a "losing inferno" that serves only destructive agendas, affirming that the homeland accommodates all its sons returning to the right path.
Al-Nazili appreciated the steadfast brotherly positions of the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, affirming that they serve the interests of Yemen and its people.
He addressed the Yemeni people, saying that the heroes of the armed forces and all those fighting for the homeland "are advancing with determination, resolve, and unwavering combat will towards the strongholds of Houthi terrorism," calling on Yemenis to rally around their armed forces and support them in these "historic and pivotal moments."
He concluded his statement by praying for the martyrs, wishing recovery for the wounded, freedom for the prisoners and abductees, and victory and honor for Yemen and its people.
