خيّمت حالة من الحزن على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، عقب تداول نبأ وفاة الطالبة شهد أبو المجد، الطالبة بكلية الطب، بمدينة الزقازيق متأثرة بمضاعفات أعقبت خضوعها لجراحة تكميم المعدة.
وكانت الطالبة قد دخلت لإجراء جراحة تكميم المعدة، قبل أن تتدهور حالتها الصحية عقب العملية، وتنتهي بوفاتها.
حزن شديد
وانتشرت خلال الساعات الماضية منشورات نعي وتعازٍ حارة للطالبة وأسرتها، عبّر خلالها أصدقاؤها ومعارفها عن حزنهم الشديد لفقدانها، داعين لها بالرحمة والمغفرة ولأسرتها بالصبر والسلوان.
وتضمنت بعض المنشورات المتداولة اتهامات لطبيب جراح بإجراء عمليات تكميم المعدة بأسعار منخفضة، معتبرين أن السعي لتحقيق الربح من خلال تقديم عروض بأسعار زهيدة لا ينبغي أن يكون على حساب سلامة المرضى، مطالبين الجهات المختصة بفحص الواقعة والتحقيق في ملابسات وفاة الطالبة.
مطالبات بإحالة للمحاكمة
وتضمنت منشورات أخرى مطالبات بوقف الطبيب عن ممارسة عمله وإحالته للمحاكمة، مع الإشارة إلى مزاعم بأن الطالبة ليست أول حالة تتعرض لمضاعفات أو وفاة عقب الخضوع لعمليات أجراها الطبيب.
وتطالب أسرة الطالبة بكشف ملابسات ما حدث وتحديد السبب الطبي للوفاة، ومعرفة ما إذا كانت هناك أخطاء أو مضاعفات مرتبطة بالعملية، واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حال ثبوت وجود أي تقصير أو مخالفة.
A state of sadness has settled over social media following the news of the death of student Shahd Abu Al-Majd, a medical student in the city of Zagazig, who passed away due to complications following her gastric sleeve surgery.
The student had entered for gastric sleeve surgery, but her health deteriorated after the operation, leading to her death.
Deep sorrow
In the past few hours, posts of mourning and heartfelt condolences for the student and her family have spread, where her friends and acquaintances expressed their deep sorrow for her loss, praying for her mercy and forgiveness and for her family to have patience and solace.
Some of the circulated posts included accusations against a surgeon for performing gastric sleeve surgeries at low prices, considering that the pursuit of profit through offering cheap deals should not come at the expense of patient safety, calling on the relevant authorities to investigate the incident and the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.
Calls for prosecution
Other posts included calls to suspend the doctor from practicing and to refer him for prosecution, with references to claims that the student is not the first case to suffer complications or death following surgeries performed by the doctor.
The family of the student is demanding clarification of the circumstances of what happened and the medical cause of death, seeking to know whether there were any errors or complications related to the surgery, and to take necessary legal actions if any negligence or violations are proven.
