لقي 3 عناصر جنائية خطرة مصرعها خلال تبادل إطلاق النار مع قوات الشرطة المصرية بنطاق محافظتي القليوبية والفيوم، وذلك في حملة أمنية استهدفت بؤرًا إجرامية من جالبي ومتجري المواد المخدرة والأسلحة النارية غير المرخصة بعدد من المحافظات.
وبحسب بيان صادر عن وزارة الداخلية المصرية، اليوم (الإثنين)، كشفت التحريات التي أجراها قطاعا الأمن العام ومكافحة المخدرات والأسلحة والذخائر غير المرخصة، بالتنسيق مع الجهات الأمنية المعنية، عن نشاط بؤر إجرامية تضم عناصر جنائية شديدة الخطورة، كانت تستعد لترويج كميات ضخمة من المخدرات والأسلحة على نطاق واسع.
وعقب تقنين الإجراءات القانونية، شنت القوات الأمنية، بمشاركة قطاع الأمن المركزي، حملات موسعة استهدفت أوكار هذه التشكيلات، وأسفر التعامل الأمني عن مصرع ثلاثة عناصر إجرامية شديدة الخطورة، سبق صدور أحكام بالسجن ضدهم في قضايا اتجار بالمخدرات وحيازة أسلحة نارية غير مرخصة وسرقة بالإكراه، وذلك أثناء تبادل إطلاق النيران مع قوات الشرطة بمحافظتي القليوبية والفيوم.
كما نجحت القوات في ضبط باقي عناصر تلك البؤر الإجرامية، وبحوزتهم كميات ضخمة من المواد المخدرة المتنوعة، بلغت نحو طن شملت الحشيش والهيدرو والآيس والهيروين والبانجو، بالإضافة إلى ضبط 10 آلاف قرص مخدر.
وتم العثور كذلك على ترسانة من الأسلحة النارية ضمت 72 قطعة سلاح، بينها 19 بندقية آلية، و21 بندقية خرطوش، و30 فرد خرطوش، وطبنجتان، فضلًا عن كميات من الذخيرة مختلفة الأعيرة.
وقدرت القيمة المالية للمواد المخدرة المضبوطة بأكثر من 80 مليون جنيه، وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حيال المتهمين والمضبوطات، وإخطار النيابة العامة لمباشرة التحقيق.
وأكدت الوزارة في بيانها استمرار حملاتها الأمنية المكثفة لتجفيف منابع الجريمة، والتصدي الحاسم لتجار المخدرات والأسلحة غير المرخصة، حفاظًا على أمن وسلامة المواطنين.
Three dangerous criminal elements were killed during a shootout with Egyptian police forces in the governorates of Qalyubia and Fayoum, as part of a security campaign targeting criminal hotspots involving drug dealers and traffickers of unlicensed firearms across several governorates.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior today (Monday), investigations conducted by the General Security and Anti-Drug and Unlicensed Firearms and Ammunition sectors, in coordination with the relevant security authorities, revealed the activities of criminal hotspots comprising highly dangerous criminal elements that were preparing to promote large quantities of drugs and firearms on a wide scale.
After legal procedures were formalized, security forces, with the participation of the Central Security Sector, launched extensive campaigns targeting the hideouts of these formations. The security engagement resulted in the death of three highly dangerous criminal elements, who had previously been sentenced to prison for drug trafficking, possession of unlicensed firearms, and armed robbery, during a shootout with police forces in the governorates of Qalyubia and Fayoum.
The forces also succeeded in apprehending the remaining elements of these criminal hotspots, who were found in possession of large quantities of various drugs, amounting to nearly a ton, including hashish, hydro, ice, heroin, and bang, in addition to seizing 10,000 narcotic pills.
A cache of firearms was also discovered, consisting of 72 weapons, including 19 automatic rifles, 21 shotguns, 30 single-barrel shotguns, and two pistols, along with quantities of ammunition of various calibers.
The estimated financial value of the seized drugs exceeded 80 million Egyptian pounds. Necessary legal measures were taken against the suspects and the seized items, and the Public Prosecution was notified to initiate an investigation.
The ministry confirmed in its statement the continuation of its intensive security campaigns to dry up the sources of crime and to decisively confront drug and unlicensed firearms traffickers, in order to maintain the safety and security of citizens.
