استأنفت بنغلاديش وباكستان الرحلات الجوية المباشرة بين البلدين بعد توقف دام 14 عاماً، بحسب ما أعلنت شركة الطيران الوطنية البنغلاديشية.
وأقلعت أول رحلة لشركة «بيمان بنغلاديش إيرلاينز» من العاصمة دكا إلى مدينة كراتشي، على أن يُشغَّل الخط بمعدل رحلتين أسبوعياً، في أول رحلات جوية منتظمة بين الجانبين منذ عام 2012.
وقالت الشركة إن استئناف الرحلات سيسهم في تعزيز الربط بين البلدين، ودعم حركة السفر لأغراض الأعمال والسياحة ولمّ شمل العائلات، مشيرة إلى أن الخطوة تأتي بعد استئناف الروابط البحرية المباشرة بين ميناء كراتشي وميناء تشيتاغونغ في نوفمبر 2024.
Bangladesh and Pakistan have resumed direct flights between the two countries after a 14-year hiatus, according to the Bangladesh national airline.
The first flight of "Biman Bangladesh Airlines" took off from the capital Dhaka to the city of Karachi, with the route to operate at a rate of two flights per week, marking the first regular flights between the two sides since 2012.
The company stated that the resumption of flights will contribute to enhancing connectivity between the two countries, supporting travel for business and tourism purposes, and reuniting families, noting that this step comes after the resumption of direct maritime links between the port of Karachi and the port of Chittagong in November 2024.
