ارتفعت حصيلة قتلى تصادم قطارين فائقَي السرعة في منطقة الأندلس جنوب إسبانيا إلى 24 شخصًا، وفق ما أعلن رئيس حكومة الإقليم خوانما مورينو اليوم الاثنين، مع احتمال زيادة العدد مع استمرار عمليات الإنقاذ.
ووقع الحادث مساء أمس قرب بلدة أداموز في مقاطعة قرطبة، عندما خرج قطار تابع لشركة «إيريو» عن مساره واستقر على المسار المجاور، قبل أن يصطدم به قطار آخر تابع لشركة «رينفي»؛ مما أدى إلى خروج القطارين عن السكة.
ونُقل أكثر من 70 مصابًا إلى المستشفيات، بينهم 15 في حالة خطيرة، فيما سقطت عربتان من أحد القطارين في منحدر بفعل قوة الاصطدام، ولا تزال أسباب الحادث قيد التحقيق.
The death toll from the collision of two high-speed trains in the Andalusia region of southern Spain has risen to 24, according to the regional government president Juanma Moreno on Monday, with the possibility of the number increasing as rescue operations continue.
The incident occurred last night near the town of Adamuz in the province of Córdoba, when a train belonging to the "Iryo" company derailed and settled on the adjacent track, before being struck by another train from the "Renfe" company; causing both trains to derail.
More than 70 injured individuals were transported to hospitals, including 15 in serious condition, while two carriages from one of the trains fell down a slope due to the force of the collision, and the causes of the accident are still under investigation.
