تحولت لحظة طفولة إلى مأساة في مدينة حلب، حين فقد طفل لم يتجاوز الثالثة من عمره حياته بعد أن علقت حبة رمان في مجرى تنفسه، تاركاً وراءه صدمة وحزناً بين أهالي الحي.
ونقلت «الوطن أون لاين» عن الطبيب فهد مسكون الذي حاول إنقاذ الطفل عند وصوله للمستشفى قوله إن الطفل وصل مزرقّ الوجه، بعدما علقت حبة رمان واحدة في مجرى التنفس، ما أدى إلى اختناقه.
وأضاف الطبيب أن جميع محاولاته لإنقاذ الطفل فشلت، بسبب انقضاء وقت طويل على انقطاع مجرى التنفس، إذ وصل جسد الطفل بارداً مزرقّاً، ما جعل جميع محاولات الإنعاش تفشل في إنقاذه.
وأظهرت تفاصيل الحادثة، أن والدة الطفل أرادت تقديم الرمان لابنها، لكنها تركته وحيداً وذهبت إلى الحمام، وعادت بعد قليل لتجده ممدداً على الأرض مزرقّاً من الاختناق.
وقال الدكتور فهد مسكون، إن تناول الأطفال الغذاء منفردين يشكل خطراً على حياتهم، خصوصاً إذا تناولوا فاكهة مثل الرمان، مضيفاً أنه لو وصل الطفل إلى المستشفى في الوقت المناسب، لأمكن إنقاذه قبل أن يفارق الحياة.
A childhood moment turned into a tragedy in the city of Aleppo, when a child who had not yet turned three lost his life after a pomegranate seed got stuck in his airway, leaving behind shock and sorrow among the residents of the neighborhood.
“Al-Watan Online” quoted Dr. Fahd Maskoun, who tried to save the child upon his arrival at the hospital, saying that the child arrived with a bluish face after a single pomegranate seed blocked his airway, leading to his suffocation.
The doctor added that all his attempts to save the child failed due to the long time that had passed since the airway was obstructed, as the child's body arrived cold and bluish, which made all resuscitation efforts unsuccessful in saving him.
Details of the incident revealed that the child's mother wanted to give him pomegranate, but she left him alone and went to the bathroom, returning shortly after to find him lying on the ground, bluish from suffocation.
Dr. Fahd Maskoun stated that allowing children to eat food alone poses a danger to their lives, especially if they consume fruits like pomegranate, adding that if the child had reached the hospital in time, he could have been saved before he passed away.
