شهدت مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في مصر موجة غضب عارمة خلال الساعات الماضية بعد انتشار لقطات مروّعة توثّق تعذيب أم لطفليها داخل حمام منزلها بمدينة طنطا بمحافظة الغربية، في واقعة وُصفت بأنها من أبشع حوادث العنف الأسري التي هزّت الرأي العام أخيراً.
وأظهرت اللقطات الطفلين مقيّدين بالحبال داخل الحمام بينما تقوم والدتهما بضربهما بعنف وسبّهما بألفاظ مهينة، ما أثار حالة من الصدمة والاستياء ودفع المستخدمين إلى المطالبة بتدخل فوري من السلطات لإنقاذ الطفلين ومحاسبة الأم.
وسارعت الأجهزة الأمنية بمديرية أمن الغربية إلى التحرك عقب رصد اللقطات المتداولة، وتمكنت فرق البحث من تحديد هوية السيدة ومكان الواقعة خلال ساعات. وأُلقي القبض على الأم بعد تقنين الإجراءات القانونية، واقتيدت إلى قسم الشرطة للتحقيق.
وخلال استجوابها أمام النيابة، اعترفت الأم بصحة الواقعة، مؤكدة أنها هي من صوّرتها بنفسها، لكنها زعمت أن هدفها كان «تأديب الطفلين» وليس تعذيبهما، موضحة أنها أرسلت اللقطات إلى زوجها السابق منذ نحو 3 أشهر للضغط عليه مالياً بعد رفضه الإنفاق على طفليه.
وكشفت التحقيقات أن الزوج السابق، الذي يعمل في توصيل الطلبات، أقدم على نشر اللقطات انتقاماً بعد علمه بزواجها من آخر، ما تسبب في انتشارها بشكل واسع على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ووصولها إلى الجهات المعنية.
وبعد التأكد من صحة الواقعة، أمرت النيابة العامة بحبس الأم 4 أيام على ذمة التحقيق، مع تسليم الطفلين إلى شقيق والدهما باعتبار أن الأم غير أمينة على رعايتهما. كما جرى استدعاء عدد من الجيران وشهود العيان وتفريغ كاميرات المراقبة المحيطة بالمنزل لتوثيق ملابسات الحادثة.
وأعادت هذه الحادثة المؤلمة إلى الواجهة الجدل حول العنف الأسري وضرورة تشديد العقوبات على منتهكي حقوق الأطفال، وسط دعوات لتكثيف حملات التوعية المجتمعية لحماية القاصرين من الانتهاكات داخل المنازل.

The footage showed the two children tied up with ropes inside the bathroom while their mother violently beat them and insulted them with degrading language, which sparked a state of shock and outrage, prompting users to call for immediate intervention from the authorities to rescue the children and hold the mother accountable.
The security agencies in the Gharbia Security Directorate quickly moved into action after monitoring the circulating footage, and search teams were able to identify the woman and the location of the incident within hours. The mother was arrested after legal procedures were taken, and she was taken to the police station for investigation.
During her interrogation before the prosecution, the mother admitted to the validity of the incident, confirming that she filmed it herself, but claimed that her intention was to "discipline the children" and not to torture them, explaining that she sent the footage to her ex-husband about three months ago to pressure him financially after he refused to support their children.
Investigations revealed that the ex-husband, who works in delivery services, published the footage in revenge after learning of her marriage to another man, which caused it to spread widely on social media and reach the relevant authorities.
After confirming the validity of the incident, the Public Prosecution ordered the mother to be detained for four days pending investigation, and the children were handed over to their paternal uncle on the grounds that the mother was not fit to care for them. Several neighbors and eyewitnesses were summoned, and surveillance cameras surrounding the house were reviewed to document the circumstances of the incident.
This painful incident has reignited the debate about domestic violence and the need to tighten penalties against violators of children's rights, amid calls to intensify community awareness campaigns to protect minors from abuses within homes.
