في حادثة أثارت الذعر في سماء مطار نيس الدولي، أحد أكثر المطارات ازدحامًا في فرنسا، كادت طائرتان تحملان 358 راكبًا وطاقمًا أن تصطدما بمسافة لا تتجاوز ثلاثة أمتار فقط، في لحظة درامية كادت تتحول إلى كارثة جوية.
وقعت الواقعة في 21 سبتمبر الماضي نحو الساعة 23:30 مساءً، وسط ظروف جوية سيئة شملت رؤية محدودة وإضاءة خافتة، عندما انحازت طائرة إيرباص A320 تابعة لشركة نوفيل إير التونسية (رحلة Nouvel Air 586) إلى المدارج الخاطئة رغم إنذارات متكررة من برج التحكم الجوي.
التقارير الأولية
وكشف تقرير أولي نشره مكتب التحقيقات والتحليلات لسلامة الطيران المدني الفرنسي أن الطيار التايلندي، الذي حصل على إذن الهبوط على المدارج اليسرى (04L) في الساعة 23:21، أكد التعليمات خمس مرات لكنه أصر على التوجه نحو المدارج اليمنى (04R)، حيث كانت طائرة إيرباص A320 أخرى تابعة لشركة إيزي جيت تستعد للإقلاع.
وأدى هذا الخطأ إلى إطلاق إنذار برتقالي في برج التحكم، تلاه إنذار أحمر بعد 16 ثانية، مشيرًا إلى خطر وشيك، ورغم خمسة طلبات تأكيد من التحكم الجوي للهبوط على المدارج الصحيحة، أصر طاقم نوفيل إير على اقترابهم من المدارج الخاطئة بدون قصد.
وأوضح تقرير مكتب التحقيقات والتحليلات لسلامة الطيران أنه في اللحظة الأخيرة، أدرك الطيار الخطأ وأعاد الغازات، مفصلًا الطائرتين بثلاثة أمتار فقط، وهي مسافة وُصفت بأنها «معجزة» لتجنب الاصطدام.
ويعزو التقرير الخطأ إلى عوامل تشمل تكوين مطار نيس المعقد بمدارجه المتوازية ذات الترتيب المعكوس، وفرق الإضاءة بين المدارج، حيث كانت المدارج اليمنى أكثر إشراقًا بسبب وجود طائرة إيزي جيت، مما أربك الطيار في ظل الرؤية الضعيفة.
وفتح المدعي العام في نيس تحقيقًا جنائيًا بتهمة «تعريض حياة الآخرين للخطر»، وتولت فرقة الدرك للنقل الجوي التحقيق، بينما بدأت مديرية خدمة الملاحة الجوية تحقيقًا داخليًا.
In an incident that caused panic in the skies over Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, one of the busiest airports in France, two planes carrying 358 passengers and crew nearly collided at a distance of no more than three meters, in a dramatic moment that almost turned into an aviation disaster.
The incident occurred on September 21 at around 11:30 PM, amid poor weather conditions that included limited visibility and dim lighting, when a Tunisian Nouvel Air Airbus A320 (Flight Nouvel Air 586) veered onto the wrong runway despite repeated warnings from the air traffic control tower.
Initial Reports
An initial report published by the French Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety revealed that the Thai pilot, who had received clearance to land on the left runway (04L) at 11:21 PM, confirmed the instructions five times but insisted on heading towards the right runway (04R), where another Airbus A320 belonging to easyJet was preparing for takeoff.
This error triggered an orange alert in the control tower, followed by a red alert after 16 seconds, indicating an imminent danger. Despite five requests for confirmation from air traffic control to land on the correct runways, the Nouvel Air crew insisted on their approach to the wrong runways unintentionally.
The report from the Bureau of Investigation and Analysis for Civil Aviation Safety explained that at the last moment, the pilot realized the mistake and throttled back, separating the two aircraft by only three meters, a distance described as a "miracle" to avoid a collision.
The report attributes the error to factors including the complex layout of Nice Airport with its parallel runways arranged in reverse order, and the lighting differences between the runways, where the right runways were brighter due to the presence of the easyJet aircraft, which confused the pilot in the poor visibility conditions.
The public prosecutor in Nice has opened a criminal investigation on charges of "endangering the lives of others," and the air transport gendarmerie is conducting the investigation, while the Directorate of Air Navigation Services has initiated an internal inquiry.
