في مشهدٍ استثنائي، احتفل أحد معمرّي محافظة إربد شمال الأردن الحاج سالم الشلول بزواجه الرابع عن عمرٍ يناهز 100 عام، ليثبت أن الرغبة في الأُنس والاستقرار لا تحدّها السنوات ولا الشيخوخة.
ووفق ما نقلته وسائل إعلام محلية، قرر الشلول الزواج مجددًا بعد أن فقد زوجاته الثلاث وعددًا من أبنائه وبناته، مفضّلًا أن يبدأ فصلًا جديدًا من حياته بعيدًا عن الوحدة.
وأكد المقربون منه أنه لا يزال يتمتع بذاكرة قوية وصحة جيدة، وأنه يحتفظ بروحه المرحة وابتسامته المعهودة التي جعلته شخصية محبوبة في منطقته.
عاش الشلول تحوّلات تاريخية منذ أربعينيات القرن الماضي، ويُعدّ من أقدم المعمّرين في شمال الأردن. وكان قد تزوّج ثلاث مرات سابقًا وأنجب من زوجاته الأولى والثانية أكثر من عشرين ابنًا وابنة، بينما لم يُرزق بأطفال من زوجته الثالثة التي توفيت أخيرا.
ولاقت قصة «عريس الـ 100 عام» انتشارًا واسعًا على مواقع التواصل، حيث اعتبرها الكثيرون رسالة مُلهِمة بأن العمر مجرد رقم، والحياة لا تفقد بريقها ما دام في القلب نبضٌ للحب والأمل.
In an extraordinary scene, one of the centenarians of Irbid Governorate in northern Jordan, Haj Salem Al-Shalloul, celebrated his fourth marriage at the age of nearly 100, proving that the desire for companionship and stability knows no bounds of years or old age.
According to local media reports, Al-Shalloul decided to marry again after losing his three wives and several sons and daughters, preferring to start a new chapter in his life away from loneliness.
Those close to him confirmed that he still enjoys a strong memory and good health, and that he retains his cheerful spirit and his well-known smile, which have made him a beloved figure in his community.
Al-Shalloul has lived through historical transformations since the 1940s and is considered one of the oldest centenarians in northern Jordan. He had previously married three times and fathered more than twenty sons and daughters from his first and second wives, while he did not have any children with his third wife, who passed away recently.
The story of the "100-Year-Old Groom" gained widespread attention on social media, where many considered it an inspiring message that age is just a number, and life does not lose its luster as long as there is a heartbeat of love and hope in the heart.
