في خطوة أثارت ضجة واسعة في الأوساط الإعلامية والفنية، أعلنت إحدى القنوات العربية عودة الإعلامي الساخر باسم يوسف إلى الشاشة المصرية بعد غياب دام أكثر من 11 عاماً، من خلال سلسلة من الحلقات الخاصة في برنامج «كلمة أخيرة»، الذي يقدمه الإعلامي أحمد سالم.
هذه العودة، التي أعلنتها شبكة قنوات «ON»، تأتي في ظل التوترات الإقليمية المتزايدة، ليست مجرد إعادة ظهور، بل تمثل عودة صوت جريء ومؤثر، كان قد غيّر وجه الإعلام الساخر في المنطقة العربية.
كواليس عودة باسم يوسف
اليوم، يعود باسم يوسف ليستعيد دوره في مواجهة الخطابات الدعائية، خصوصاً في ظل القضية الفلسطينية التي يُعدّ من أبرز المدافعين عنها عالمياً.
وبحسب مصادر، استمرت المفاوضات لمدة أسابيع وانتهت باتفاق يتيح للإعلامي الساخر الظهور في فقرة أسبوعية مخصصة ضمن «كلمة أخيرة»، دون برنامج منفصل، كما ستكون الفقرة مصورة خارج الاستوديو لـ«كسر النمطية وزيادة التفاعل مع الجمهور»، وتبدأ بسلسلة من 4 حلقات متتالية على مدار شهر، بمعدل حلقة أسبوعياً.
موعد أولى حلقات باسم يوسف
ومن المقرر أن تنطلق في 7 أكتوبر 2025، تزامناً مع ذكرى طوفان الأقصى، الأولى مخصصة للقضية الفلسطينية، حيث يهدف يوسف إلى «تفكيك الخطاب الدعائي الإسرائيلي»، مستفيداً من خبرته في الإعلام الغربي، ثم ستغطي الحلقات قضايا أخرى، مع التركيز على التحليل النقدي والفكاهي، ثم سيسرد تفاصيل رحلته الشخصية في الغرب، وقصصاً وحكايات من خلف الكواليس تُروى لأول مرة.
وأكدت قناة «ON» في بيان رسمي أن هذه السلسلة «ستكشف رحلة باسم يوسف المهنية والشخصية في الغرب، وقصصاً خلف الكواليس من ظهوره الدولي».
من جراحة القلب إلى الإعلام
وُلد باسم يوسف في مارس 1974 في القاهرة، وهو إعلامي مصري ساخر وطبيب جراح قلب سابق عمل لـ13 عاماً في مجال الطب، حيث تخصص في جراحة القلب والرئتين وتلقى تدريبات في ألمانيا والولايات المتحدة.
لم يكن الإعلام في خططه، لكنه انطلق إلى الشهرة في عام 2011، حيث أطلق برنامجه الأول «باسم يوسف شو B+» على يوتيوب في مارس 2011، وحقق ملايين المشاهدات في أسابيع، ثم انتقل البرنامج إلى التلفزيون في يونيو 2011 عبر قناة ONTV، تحت اسم «البرنامج».
وبعد انتهاء الموسم الأول من «البرنامج»، انتقل إلى قناتي CBC وMBC مصر، وفي 2014 غادر إلى الولايات المتحدة حيث أصبح مقيماً في معهد السياسة بجامعة هارفارد في 2015، وهناك ألَّف كتابين: «Revolution for Dummies» (سيرة ذاتية عن الربيع العربي) و«The Magical Reality of Nadia» (كتاب أطفال).
وعمل مذيعاً كوميدياً في الجامعات الأمريكية، وأدى عروضاً مسرحية، وأنتج محتوى عن الثقافات الأمريكية مع منتج أنتوني بوردان.
في السنوات الأخيرة، برز مدافعاً عن فلسطين في الإعلام الغربي، حيث ظهر في برامج مثل «Piers Morgan» و«Nelk Boys»، مفنداً الدعاية الإسرائيلية، ووصف إسرائيل بأنها «أفسدت الغرب أخلاقياً لـ100 عام».
في أغسطس 2024، أغلق حسابه على «إكس» مؤقتاً بسبب مخاوف أمنية تتعلق بمنشوراته عن غزة، لكنه عاد لاحقاً، محذراً من «القبة الحديدية» الإعلامية لإسرائيل.

Behind the Scenes of Bassem Youssef's Return
Today, Bassem Youssef returns to reclaim his role in confronting propaganda discourses, especially in light of the Palestinian issue, of which he is considered one of the most prominent global advocates.
According to sources, negotiations lasted for weeks and concluded with an agreement that allows the satirical media figure to appear in a dedicated weekly segment within "Kalimah Akheerah," without a separate program. The segment will be filmed outside the studio to "break the mold and increase interaction with the audience," starting with a series of 4 consecutive episodes over a month, at a rate of one episode per week.
Schedule for Bassem Youssef's First Episodes
It is scheduled to launch on October 7, 2025, coinciding with the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa flood, with the first episode dedicated to the Palestinian issue, where Youssef aims to "deconstruct the Israeli propaganda discourse," leveraging his experience in Western media. The episodes will then cover other issues, focusing on critical and humorous analysis, and he will recount details of his personal journey in the West, along with stories and anecdotes from behind the scenes that will be told for the first time.
Channel "ON" confirmed in an official statement that this series "will reveal Bassem Youssef's professional and personal journey in the West, along with behind-the-scenes stories from his international appearances."
From Heart Surgery to Media
Bassem Youssef was born in March 1974 in Cairo. He is a satirical Egyptian media figure and a former heart surgeon who worked for 13 years in the medical field, specializing in heart and lung surgery, and received training in Germany and the United States.
Media was not in his plans, but he shot to fame in 2011 when he launched his first program "Bassem Youssef Show B+" on YouTube in March 2011, achieving millions of views within weeks. The program then moved to television in June 2011 on ONTV, under the name "Al-Barnameg."
After the first season of "Al-Barnameg," he moved to CBC and MBC Egypt, and in 2014 he moved to the United States, where he became a resident at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2015. There, he authored two books: "Revolution for Dummies" (a memoir about the Arab Spring) and "The Magical Reality of Nadia" (a children's book).
He worked as a comedic host at American universities, performed theatrical shows, and produced content about American cultures with producer Anthony Bourdain.
In recent years, he has emerged as an advocate for Palestine in Western media, appearing on programs like "Piers Morgan" and "Nelk Boys," debunking Israeli propaganda and describing Israel as having "morally corrupted the West for 100 years."
In August 2024, he temporarily closed his account on "X" due to security concerns related to his posts about Gaza, but later returned, warning of Israel's "media Iron Dome."
