أكدت الهيئة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث في باكستان أن حصيلة ضحايا الأمطار الموسمية الغزيرة والفيضانات المفاجئة في البلاد ارتفعت إلى 291 قتيلا و698 جريحا منذ بدء موسم الأمطار الحالية في 26 يونيو الماضي.
وأوضحت الهيئة في بيان اليوم أن بين القتلى 102 رجل و51 امرأة و138 طفلًا، فيما تضرر نحو (826) منزلًا بسبب الأمطار والسيول.
وأضافت أن عمليات البحث والإنقاذ والإغاثة في مختلف المناطق المتضررة لا تزال مستمرة، إذ تعمل الهيئة بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية في أقاليم البلاد للتعامل مع الوضع.
The National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan confirmed that the death toll from the heavy monsoon rains and flash floods in the country has risen to 291 dead and 698 injured since the start of the current rainy season on June 26.
The authority clarified in a statement today that among the deceased are 102 men, 51 women, and 138 children, while approximately 826 houses have been damaged due to the rains and floods.
It added that search, rescue, and relief operations in various affected areas are still ongoing, as the authority is coordinating with relevant agencies in the country's provinces to address the situation.
