Sources close to Al-Ittihad Club revealed to "Okaz" that the sports administration is preparing an offer for player Saad Al-Mousa, who has about 90 days left before entering the "free" six-month period, as his contract with the club will end in June 2027. This comes as part of the effort to renew the player's contract and ensure his continued presence within the football team's plans for the coming years.
Sources confirmed that the sports administration, in coordination with the technical staff led by coach Jens Vissing, wishes to keep Saad Al-Mousa within the team. They have started early to work on resolving the player's situation before he enters the "free" period, which allows him to negotiate and sign with any other club without returning to his current club.
Defender Saad Al-Mousa suffered an injury with a fracture in his right ankle in November 2025 and underwent a successful first surgery in London under the supervision of Dr. Peter Odoghe. He followed a treatment and rehabilitation program, and then underwent a second surgery in mid-March 2026 to remove the surgical fixations. He completed his treatment and rehabilitation program and returned to participate with the Al-Ittihad U21 team in the Elite Jawi Championship to regain match sensitivity and complete his technical readiness to return to participate with the first team in local and continental tournaments.
