علمت «عكاظ» من مصادرها الخاصة أن رئيس اللجنة التنفيذية في النادي الأهلي أحمد الشنقيطي تقدم بطلب للاستمرار في مهامه داخل النادي عقب نهاية فترة مجلس إدارة شركة النادي الأهلي في 17 أكتوبر القادم.
وكشفت المصادر أن الشنقيطي يسعى لإعادة تشكيل فريق عمله مجدداً، وذلك عقب موجة الاستقالات التي ضربت النادي خلال الأسابيع القليلة الماضية بداية باستقالة المدير الرياضي روي بيدرو مطلع شهر سبتمبر الحالي، وتكليف أسامة هوساوي في المنصب، والذي لم يستمر لأكثر من 24 يوماً في منصبه قبل أن يتقدم باستقالته.
وتسببت سلسلة من الإشكالات الإدارية والفنية التي لاحقت الأهلي منذ بداية الموسم في سلسلة من الخسائر التي تعرض لها الفريق مع انطلاقة مشواره في دوري روشن للمحترفين، قبل أن يخسر مواجهة كأس القارات الثلاث أمام صن داونز بنتيجة (2-1).
