أمرت النيابة العامة المصرية، بحبس المتهم المسؤول عن نشر خبر كاذب بشأن إجبار أحد أعضاء النيابة العامة على الاستقالة، على خلفية اتهامه في قضية سارة خليفة المتهمة بقضية اتجار بالمخدرات.
وفق بيان رسمي، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، أمر النائب العام المستشار محمد شوقي، بتتبع الحسابات والمواقع الإلكترونية التي نشرت أو أعادت نشر خبر كاذب على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، يتضمن ادعاء إجبار أحد أعضاء النيابة العامة على تقديم استقالته، وضبطه وعدد من ضباط الشرطة وبحوزتهم مواد مخدرة، بزعم صلتهم بالتحقيقات التي تُجريها النيابة العامة في واقعة ضبط المتهمة سارة خليفة.
ولفت بيان النيابة المصرية، إلى أن تلك الادعاءات والأخبار الكاذبة، من شأنها تكدير الأمن والسلم العام، وبالتالي تم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية الرادعة حيال مروجيها والقائمين عليها.
وبحسب البيان، تم تحديد هوية أحد الأشخاص القائمين على نشر وإعادة نشر تلك الأخبار عبر أحد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وأمرت النيابة العامة بضبطه وإحضاره.
وأكدت النيابة العامة أنه تم ضبط المتهم، وبمواجهته أقر بارتكابه الواقعة على النحو المتداول، فأمرت بحبسه احتياطيًّا لمدة أربعة أيام، وجارٍ استكمال التحقيقات بضبط من جرى رصدهم في هذا الشأن.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution ordered the detention of the accused responsible for spreading false news regarding the alleged coercion of a member of the Public Prosecution to resign, following his involvement in the case of Sara Khalifa, who is accused of drug trafficking.
According to an official statement today (Tuesday), the Attorney General, Counselor Mohamed Shawky, ordered the tracking of accounts and websites that published or republished false news on social media, which included claims of coercing a member of the Public Prosecution to submit his resignation, and the arrest of him along with several police officers in possession of narcotics, allegedly linked to the investigations being conducted by the Public Prosecution regarding the arrest of the accused Sara Khalifa.
The Egyptian Public Prosecution's statement pointed out that these allegations and false news could disturb public security and peace, and therefore, legal actions were taken against those promoting and involved in them.
According to the statement, the identity of one of the individuals involved in publishing and republishing this news via one of the social media platforms was identified, and the Public Prosecution ordered his arrest and summons.
The Public Prosecution confirmed that the accused was apprehended, and upon confrontation, he admitted to committing the act as reported. He was ordered to be detained for four days, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend others identified in this matter.
