أقدم شاب عراقي في مقتبل العمر، على الانتحار شنقًا، صباح (السبت)، في أحد مساجد محافظة ميسان، شرق العراق.
ووفقا لما نقلته وسائل إعلام محلية عن مصدر أمني، فإن الحادثة وقعت في ساعات الفجر الأولى السبت، داخل أحد المساجد في ناحية العدل التابعة لمحافظة ميسان، حيث عُثر على الطالب مشنوقا باستخدام حبل ربطه في إحدى زوايا المسجد.
وأكد المصدر أن الطالب المنتحر كان من طلبة المرحلة النهائية في الثانوية العامة، المعروفة محليا بـ«السادس الإعدادي»، دون أن تتضح بعد الدوافع وراء إقدامه على هذا الفعل المأساوي.
ولا تزال التحقيقات جارية من قبل الجهات العراقية المختصة للكشف عن ملابسات حادثة انتحار شاب داخل مسجد في محافظة ميسان، في وقت تشهد فيه بلاد الرافدين تصاعدا في حالات الانتحار.
An Iraqi young man in the prime of his life committed suicide by hanging on Saturday morning in a mosque in Maysan province, eastern Iraq.
According to local media reports citing a security source, the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday inside a mosque in the Al-Adl district of Maysan province, where the student was found hanged using a rope tied in one of the corners of the mosque.
The source confirmed that the deceased student was in his final year of high school, locally known as "sixth preparatory," although the motives behind his tragic act remain unclear.
Investigations are still ongoing by the relevant Iraqi authorities to uncover the circumstances surrounding the suicide of the young man inside the mosque in Maysan province, at a time when the land of the two rivers is witnessing an increase in suicide cases.
