أطلقت مؤسسة تكنولوجيات استكشاف الفضاء الأمريكية سبيس إكس، 24 قمرا صناعيا، من مركبة الفضاء الخاصة بمشروع كويبر للإنترنت التابع لشركة أمازون إلى الفضاء، بعد تعثر أربع محاولات سابقة بسبب سوء الأحوال الجوية.
وذكرت المؤسسة أن صاروخ فالكون 9، أطلق من قاعدة كيب كانافيرال بولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية حاملا الأقمار الصناعية إلى مدار أرضي منخفض، مؤكدة نجاح نشر جميع الأقمار بعد نحو ساعة من الإقلاع وعادت المرحلة الأولى من صاروخ فالكون 9 إلى الأرض بعد نحو 8.5 دقيقة من الإقلاع، وهبطت في المحيط الأطلسي على متن سفينة سبيس إكس المسيرة.
وأوضحت سبيس إكس أن مشروع كويبر سيضم في نهاية المطاف نحو أكثر من 3200 مركبة فضائية، سيتم إطلاقها في أكثر من 80 عملية إطلاق خلال السنوات القليلة القادمة، وستقوم مجموعة متنوعة من الصواريخ بهذه المهمة، فبالإضافة إلى صاروخ فالكون 9، جندت أمازون صاروخ أريان 6 التابع لشركة أريان سبيس، وصاروخ نيو جلين التابع لشركة بلو أوريجين، وصاروخي أطلس 5 وفولكان سنتور التابعين لشركة يونايتد لونش ألاين.
يذكر أن الإطلاق هو الإطلاق رقم 97 لصاروخ فالكون 9 هذا العام، والمهمة رقم 100 لشركة سبيس إكس في عام 2025، أما الرحلات الثلاث الأخرى فكانت رحلات تجريبية دون مدارية لمركبة ستارشيب، المركبة الضخمة القابلة لإعادة الاستخدام.
The American space exploration technology company SpaceX launched 24 satellites into space from the spacecraft of Amazon's Project Kuiper for internet access, after four previous attempts were delayed due to bad weather.
The company stated that the Falcon 9 rocket was launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida, carrying the satellites to a low Earth orbit, confirming the successful deployment of all satellites about an hour after liftoff. The first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket returned to Earth approximately 8.5 minutes after launch, landing in the Atlantic Ocean on a SpaceX autonomous ship.
SpaceX explained that the Kuiper project will eventually include more than 3,200 spacecraft, which will be launched in over 80 missions over the next few years. A variety of rockets will carry out this mission; in addition to the Falcon 9 rocket, Amazon has enlisted the Ariane 6 rocket from Arianespace, the New Glenn rocket from Blue Origin, and the Atlas 5 and Vulcan Centaur rockets from United Launch Alliance.
It is noteworthy that this launch is the 97th for the Falcon 9 rocket this year and the 100th mission for SpaceX in 2025. The other three flights were suborbital test flights of the Starship, the massive reusable spacecraft.
