أعلنت بطولة العالم للفورمولا 1 والاتحاد الدولي للسيارات (FIA) إقامة جائزة البحرين الكبرى على حلبة سيبانغ الماليزية خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 4 أكتوبر القادم، ضمن جدول بطولة العالم لموسم 2026.
وتعد حلبة سيبانغ خياراً مناسباً لاستضافة السباق، نظراً إلى خبرتها في تنظيم سباقات الفورمولا 1، بعدما احتضنت 19 جولة من بطولة العالم بين عامي 1999 و2017، إضافة إلى استضافتها المستمرة لإحدى جولات بطولة العالم للدراجات النارية (موتو جي بي). وستسهم البحرين في تغطية جزء من تكاليف تنظيم الحدث، بما يضمن إدراجه ضمن روزنامة البطولة في موعده الجديد.
وبهذا التعديل، أصبح السباق الجولة الثالثة والعشرين في موسم البطولة.
وفي المقابل، لا تزال روزنامة ختام الموسم قيد المراجعة، مع استمرار دراسة عدد من الخيارات المتعلقة بالجولتين الأخيرتين المقررتين في قطر والإمارات، وسط ترقب إعلان القرار النهائي خلال الأسابيع القادمة.
The Formula 1 World Championship and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have announced the hosting of the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia from October 2 to 4, as part of the World Championship schedule for the 2026 season.
Sepang Circuit is a suitable choice for hosting the race, given its experience in organizing Formula 1 races, having hosted 19 rounds of the World Championship between 1999 and 2017, in addition to its continuous hosting of one round of the MotoGP World Championship. Bahrain will contribute to covering part of the costs of organizing the event, ensuring its inclusion in the championship calendar on the new date.
With this adjustment, the race has become the twenty-third round of the championship season.
Meanwhile, the season finale schedule is still under review, with ongoing consideration of several options related to the last two rounds scheduled in Qatar and the UAE, amid anticipation of the final decision announcement in the coming weeks.
