أفادت وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية، أمس (السبت)، بسقوط طائرة مسيّرة بالقرب من منزل وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي إيتمار بن غفير في مستوطنة كريات أربع بالضفة الغربية، فيما باشرت قوات الجيش والشرطة التحقيق في الملابسات.
وذكرت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية أن السلطات الإسرائيلية تحفظت على حطام الطائرة المسيّرة، وبدأت فحصها، مشيرة إلى أن المعطيات الأولية تشير إلى أنها طائرة صغيرة مخصصة للتصوير، ولم تكن مزودة بأسلحة أو وسائل قتالية، باستثناء الكاميرا.
وأكد مكتب بن غفير أن الوزير تلقى أمس إخطاراً من مسؤولين أمنيين بسقوط طائرة مسيّرة بالقرب من منزله، موضحاً أن التحقيقات مستمرة لتحديد مصدر الطائرة والظروف التي أدت إلى سقوطها.
وأشار المكتب إلى أن القوات الإسرائيلية صادرت حطام الطائرة، فيما لم تسجل أي إصابات جراء الحادث، مؤكداً أن بن غفير وأفراد أسرته بخير.
ويأتي سقوط الطائرة المسيّرة قرب منزل بن غفير في ظل تصاعد المخاوف الإسرائيلية من تنامي استخدام الطائرات المسيّرة في تنفيذ عمليات استطلاع أو هجمات.
وتحظى الطائرات المسيّرة باهتمام أمني متزايد في إسرائيل، نظراً لقدرتها على تنفيذ عمليات مراقبة وجمع معلومات والوصول إلى مناطق حساسة، فضلاً عن إمكانية استخدامها في تنفيذ هجمات، ما يدفع الأجهزة الأمنية إلى التعامل مع أي طائرة مجهولة بالقرب من مواقع أو شخصيات حساسة باعتبارها حادثاً يستوجب التحقيق.
ويُعد إيتمار بن غفير أحد أبرز الشخصيات السياسية الإسرائيلية المثيرة للجدل، ويشغل منصب وزير الأمن القومي، كما يُعرف بمواقفه المتشددة تجاه الفلسطينيين، ولا سيما في الضفة الغربية والقدس الشرقية.
Israeli media reported yesterday (Saturday) that a drone fell near the home of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir in the Kiryat Arba settlement in the West Bank, while army and police forces began investigating the circumstances.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority mentioned that Israeli authorities have secured the wreckage of the drone and have started examining it, noting that initial data indicates it is a small drone intended for photography and was not equipped with weapons or combat means, except for the camera.
Ben Gvir's office confirmed that the minister received a notification yesterday from security officials about the drone falling near his home, clarifying that investigations are ongoing to determine the source of the drone and the circumstances that led to its fall.
The office indicated that Israeli forces confiscated the drone's wreckage, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident, confirming that Ben Gvir and his family are safe.
The drone's fall near Ben Gvir's home comes amid rising Israeli concerns over the increasing use of drones for reconnaissance or attacks.
Drones are receiving heightened security attention in Israel due to their ability to conduct surveillance, gather information, and access sensitive areas, as well as their potential use in carrying out attacks, prompting security agencies to treat any unidentified drone near sensitive sites or individuals as an incident requiring investigation.
Itamar Ben Gvir is considered one of the most controversial political figures in Israel, serving as the Minister of National Security, and is known for his hardline positions towards Palestinians, particularly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
