تتجه أنظار العالم، اليوم (الأحد)، إلى ملعب «ميتلايف» الذي يحتضن نهائي كأس العالم 2026 بين إسبانيا والأرجنتين، في مواجهة لا يقتصر الاهتمام بها على الصراع على اللقب، بل تمتد إلى حدث فني غير مسبوق يشهد إقامة أول عرض ترفيهي في تاريخ البطولة خلال فترة الاستراحة بين الشوطين.
وأعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) تمديد فترة الاستراحة إلى 17 دقيقة، بزيادة دقيقتين عن المدة المعتادة، لإتاحة المجال لتنظيم العرض الفني الذي يجمع نخبة من أبرز نجوم الموسيقى العالميين، بينهم شاكيرا، ومادونا، وفرقة «بي تي إس»، وبيرنا بوي، وجاستن بيبر، والمايسترو غوستافو دوداميل، وكورال «PS2»، إضافة إلى فرقة «كولدبلاي».
ويحمل الحدث بعداً إنسانياً إلى جانب طابعه الترفيهي، إذ يشارك جميع الفنانين في العرض دون أي مقابل مادي، دعماً لمبادرة مشتركة للفيفا تهدف إلى تمويل برامج التعليم حول العالم.
وتسعى المبادرة إلى جمع 100 مليون دولار خلال البطولة، مع تخصيص دولار واحد من قيمة كل تذكرة للمباراة النهائية لصالح دعم تعليم الأطفال، في إطار جهود تستثمر الشعبية العالمية لكرة القدم للمساهمة في توسيع فرص التعليم.
وكان رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، جياني إنفانتينو، قد أكّد في مايو الماضي أن اجتماع أسماء فنية عالمية على مسرح نهائي كأس العالم، بالتزامن مع حملة لجمع التبرعات من أجل تعليم الأطفال، يمنح الحدث بعداً إنسانياً يتجاوز حدود الرياضة، ويعكس قدرة كرة القدم على إحداث أثر إيجابي على المستوى العالمي.
The eyes of the world are on the "MetLife" stadium today (Sunday), which hosts the final of the 2026 World Cup between Spain and Argentina. This match is not only about the battle for the title but also extends to an unprecedented artistic event that will feature the first entertainment show in the history of the tournament during the halftime break.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) announced an extension of the halftime period to 17 minutes, an increase of two minutes over the usual duration, to allow for the organization of the artistic show that brings together a selection of the world's top music stars, including Shakira, Madonna, BTS, Burna Boy, Justin Bieber, maestro Gustavo Dudamel, the PS2 choir, in addition to the band Coldplay.
The event carries a humanitarian dimension alongside its entertainment aspect, as all the artists participate in the show without any financial compensation, in support of a joint initiative by FIFA aimed at funding education programs around the world.
The initiative seeks to raise $100 million during the tournament, with one dollar from the price of each ticket for the final match allocated to support children's education, as part of efforts to leverage the global popularity of football to help expand educational opportunities.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed last May that the gathering of global artistic names on the stage of the World Cup final, coinciding with a fundraising campaign for children's education, gives the event a humanitarian dimension that transcends the boundaries of sports and reflects football's ability to create a positive impact on a global level.
