أصدرت محكمة تونسية أحكاماً بالسجن راوحت بين 20 و30 عاماً بحق أفراد شبكة نسائية متهمة بالضلوع في تهريب المخدرات عبر رحلات جوية، بعد ثبوت تورطهن في نشاط إجرامي منظم.
وتعود تفاصيل القضية إلى تمكن الأجهزة الأمنية والجمركية في مطار تونس قرطاج الدولي من إحباط محاولة تهريب كمية كبيرة من المخدرات، عقب ضبط ثلاث متهمات وهن في حالة تلبس أثناء محاولة إدخال أكثر من 4 كيلوغرامات من مادة الكوكايين إلى البلاد.
وكشفت التحقيقات أن المخدرات كانت مجزأة ومخبأة بعناية داخل الملابس، في محاولة لتجاوز إجراءات التفتيش والرقابة الأمنية داخل المطار، إلا أن يقظة الجهات المختصة حالت دون نجاح العملية.
وخلال مراحل التحقيق، قدمت المتهمات معلومات كشفت عن امتداد الشبكة وطبيعة نشاطها، قبل أن تُوجَّه إليهن اتهامات تتعلق بتكوين وفاق بهدف إدخال وتهريب مواد مخدرة إلى الأراضي التونسية، لتنتهي القضية بإصدار الأحكام القضائية بحقهن.
وتأتي هذه القضية في ظل تكثيف السلطات التونسية جهودها لمكافحة تجارة واستهلاك المخدرات، وسط تقارير تشير إلى تنامي عدد القضايا المرتبطة بهذه الظاهرة، ما دفع الأجهزة الأمنية إلى تعزيز حملاتها لملاحقة المتورطين في شبكات التهريب والترويج.
A Tunisian court issued prison sentences ranging from 20 to 30 years against members of a female network accused of involvement in drug trafficking through air travel, after their involvement in organized criminal activity was proven.
The details of the case date back to the security and customs authorities at Tunis-Carthage International Airport managing to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs, following the arrest of three accused women caught in the act while attempting to bring more than 4 kilograms of cocaine into the country.
Investigations revealed that the drugs were fragmented and carefully hidden inside clothing, in an attempt to bypass inspection and security control procedures at the airport, but the vigilance of the relevant authorities prevented the operation from succeeding.
During the investigation stages, the accused provided information that revealed the extent of the network and the nature of its activities, before charges were brought against them related to forming a conspiracy aimed at bringing and smuggling narcotic substances into Tunisian territory, culminating in the issuance of judicial sentences against them.
This case comes amid intensified efforts by Tunisian authorities to combat drug trafficking and consumption, amid reports indicating a rise in the number of cases related to this phenomenon, prompting security agencies to strengthen their campaigns to pursue those involved in smuggling and promotion networks.
