أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (سنتكوم)، اليوم (السبت)، مقتل جنديين أمريكيين وفقدان ثالث في الأردن، إثر هجمات إيرانية بالصواريخ الباليستية والطائرات المسيّرة.
وقالت «سنتكوم»، في بيان عبر حسابها على منصة «إكس»، إن الجنديين قُتلا أثناء تصدي القوات الأمريكية، إلى جانب قوات شريكة، للهجمات الإيرانية، فيما لا يزال جندي ثالث في عداد المفقودين.
وأوضحت أن 4 جنود أمريكيين أُجلوا لتلقي العلاج في مستشفيات أردنية، قبل أن يغادروها بعد استقرار حالتهم، فيما عاد آخرون تعرضوا لإصابات طفيفة إلى أداء مهماتهم.
وأضافت أنه، احتراماً لعائلات القتلى، لن يتم الكشف عن مزيد من التفاصيل، بما في ذلك هوياتهم، إلا بعد مرور 24 ساعة على إخطار ذويهم.
وفي المقابل، ذكرت وكالة «مهر» الإيرانية للأنباء أن محافظة هرمزجان جنوبي إيران تعرضت اليوم لـ3 غارات جوية أمريكية، فيما أعلنت إدارة الاتصالات في المحافظة تعطل 116 برج اتصالات جراء قصف أمريكي استهدف، أمس (الجمعة)، خطوط الإنترنت.
وفي تطور آخر، أفادت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية (UKMTO) بتلقي بلاغ عن واقعة بين سفينة تجارية وقوات عسكرية على بعد 100 ميل بحري شرق مدينة الدقم في سلطنة عُمان.
وأوضحت الهيئة أن المعلومات الأولية تشير إلى أن السفينة تعرضت لاحتكاك في إطار نشاط عسكري جارٍ في المنطقة، دون الكشف عن مزيد من التفاصيل.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced today (Saturday) the death of two American soldiers and the disappearance of a third in Jordan, following Iranian attacks with ballistic missiles and drones.
CENTCOM stated in a statement via its account on the "X" platform that the two soldiers were killed while U.S. forces, alongside partner forces, were responding to the Iranian attacks, while a third soldier remains missing.
It clarified that four American soldiers were evacuated to receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals, before leaving after their conditions stabilized, while others who sustained minor injuries returned to their duties.
It added that, out of respect for the families of the deceased, no further details, including their identities, will be disclosed until 24 hours after their families have been notified.
In contrast, the Iranian news agency "Mehr" reported that Hormozgan Province in southern Iran was subjected to three American airstrikes today, while the communications administration in the province announced that 116 communication towers were disrupted due to American shelling that targeted internet lines yesterday (Friday).
In another development, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported receiving a notification about an incident involving a commercial vessel and military forces 100 nautical miles east of the city of Duqm in the Sultanate of Oman.
The agency explained that initial information indicates that the vessel was involved in a collision as part of ongoing military activity in the area, without disclosing further details.
