استقبل نائب أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة، رئيس اللجنة الوطنية للتقويم بمحافظة جدة الأمير سعود بن مشعل بن عبدالعزيز، في مقر الإمارة، وفد بطولة العالم لسباقات الزوارق السريعة F1H2O.
وضمّ الوفد كلًا من نيقولو دي سان جيرمانو المؤسس ورئيس بطولة F1H2O، وريمنودو دي سان جرمانو الرئيس التنفيذي، وياسر اليامي رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة المنظمة بروميديا بورتال.
وأشاد بالدور التنظيمي المتميز والنجاح الكبير الذي حققته الجولة الأخيرة من بطولة العالم لسباقات الزوارق السريعة التي استضافتها محافظة جدة، منوهًا بأن ما تحقق يعكس مستوى الاحترافية العالية في التنظيم، ويجسّد مكانة جدة المتنامية بوصفها وجهة عالمية لاستضافة الفعاليات الرياضية النوعية.
وأكد أن الرياضات المائية تمثل قيمة مضافة للقطاع الرياضي والسياحي، وأن جدة بما تملكه من مقومات مؤهلة لأن تكون الواجهة الأولى لمثل هذه البطولات العالمية التي تعزز حضور جدة على خارطة الرياضة العالمية، وتحقق مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
من جانبهم، عبّر أعضاء الوفد عن شكرهم وتقديرهم لنائب أمير منطقة مكة المكرمة نظير الدعم المستمر، مشيرين إلى أن نجاح الجولة في جدة تُوّج بحصولها على جائزة أفضل تنظيم في العالم، وتكريمها رسميًا من إدارة بطولة F1H2O والاتحاد الأوروبي للرياضات المائية، بعد منافسة قوية مع عدد من المدن العالمية المستضيفة للبطولة.
وأكد الوفد أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس التكامل بين الجهات الحكومية والمنظمة، ويعزز ثقة الاتحادات الدولية في قدرة المملكة، وجدة على وجه الخصوص، على استضافة كبرى البطولات العالمية وفق أعلى المعايير التنظيمية والفنية.
The Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region, Chairman of the National Committee for the Evaluation in Jeddah, Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, received the delegation of the F1H2O World Championship for speedboat racing at the emirate's headquarters.
The delegation included Nicolo di San Germano, the founder and president of the F1H2O Championship, Raimondo di San Germano, the CEO, and Yasser Al-Yami, the Chairman of the Board of the organizing company, Promedia Portal.
He praised the outstanding organizational role and the great success achieved by the recent round of the F1H2O World Championship hosted by Jeddah, noting that what has been accomplished reflects a high level of professionalism in organization and embodies Jeddah's growing status as a global destination for hosting high-quality sporting events.
He emphasized that water sports represent an added value to the sports and tourism sector, and that Jeddah, with its qualified components, is poised to be the primary front for such global championships that enhance Jeddah's presence on the global sports map and achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the Deputy Emir of the Makkah Region for the continuous support, pointing out that the success of the round in Jeddah was crowned with receiving the award for the best organization in the world, and being officially honored by the F1H2O Championship management and the European Union of Water Sports, after a strong competition with several global cities hosting the championship.
The delegation confirmed that this achievement reflects the integration between government entities and the organizing body, and enhances the confidence of international federations in the Kingdom's, and particularly Jeddah's, ability to host major global championships according to the highest organizational and technical standards.
