أسفرت قرعة كأس العالم 2026، التي أُجريت في العاصمة الأمريكية واشنطن، اليوم (الجمعة) عن مجموعة قوية للمنتخب السعودي.
وجاء «الأخضر» في المجموعة الثامنة إلى جانب منتخبات إسبانيا وأوروغواي والرأس الأخضر.
نسخة تاريخية من المونديال
وتقام النسخة القادمة من كأس العالم في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك، وستكون الأولى في تاريخ البطولة التي تشهد مشاركة 48 منتخباً بدلاً من 32.
وكان المنتخب السعودي قد حجز مقعده في المونديال للمرة السابعة في تاريخه والثالثة على التوالي، بقيادة المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد.
إنجاز عربي غير مسبوق
وفي إنجاز تاريخي جديد، تأهلت 7 منتخبات عربية إلى كأس العالم 2026 هي: السعودية، قطر، الأردن، مصر، المغرب، تونس، والجزائر.
وبذلك تحقق المنتخبات العربية حضوراً ضخماً غير مسبوق، متجاوزة الرقم المسجل في مونديال 2022، الذي شهد مشاركة 4 منتخبات عربية فقط.
The draw for the 2026 World Cup, which took place in the American capital Washington today (Friday), resulted in a strong group for the Saudi national team.
The "Green" team was placed in Group H alongside Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde.
A Historic Edition of the World Cup
The upcoming edition of the World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, and it will be the first in the tournament's history to feature 48 teams instead of 32.
The Saudi national team secured its place in the World Cup for the seventh time in its history and the third consecutive time, under the leadership of French coach Hervé Renard.
An Unprecedented Arab Achievement
In a new historic achievement, 7 Arab teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria.
This marks an unprecedented massive presence for Arab teams, surpassing the record set in the 2022 World Cup, which saw the participation of only 4 Arab teams.
